“Hello Miss what can I do for you tonight?” A rather chatty night worker for the Holiday Inn seemed to want to know Vie personally.
“I want to know if there are any open rooms?”
“Here let me check.” The worker stopped talking for a moment and began typing on the computer within seconds she began up again,” Yes there’s a one bed room it’s about €259 a night. Do you want it?”
“Yes it will only be one night though.” Violet handed over her debt card and watched the girl take it with wide eyes.
“You’re name is Violet Ra… you’re that girl who is dating Zayn Malik? Cool. Can I have you autograph?” The girl said way to happy, much more than the normal person. It was a good thing her boss saw her flipping out and told her to get back to work. It wasn’t long until She handed Violet the key card and a blank sheet of paper,” Please? My name is Lola.”
Violet smiled a little,” One of my best friend’s name is Lola.” Violet took the paper and signed To Lola From Violet You’re an amazing girl.
“Oh my friends are going to be so jealous.” The girl squealed then cautiously looked back at her boss and said,” Thank you for your business.”
…
Violet snuck into Zayn’s kitchen for the breakfast, it was about 9 in the morning and she felt like she was ready to face the boys about what they’d learned last night.
She made her way through the floor that was littered with musically talented sleeping boys, until she got into the kitchen were a certain boy was eating cereal out of a bag with his hands.
“Good morning.” Liam said no surprise in his voice.
“Good morning Liam. I see you’re enjoying your cereal.” Violet nodded at his bag of cereal with no milk.
An awkward silence filled the air and Liam ended it abruptly but not rudely,” What happened?”
“What are you talking about?” Violet asked, fully aware of what he was asking.
“What happened to music? What happened that made you lose your muse? What happened to your family?”
Violet took a deep breath she knew that she could tell him,” I was supposed to be in Europe right now you know? I had a tour around Europe before I went off to Julliard. That’s why I didn’t go to Julliard immediately.” Liam sat quietly and listened like friends should.
“I started singing when I was like 3 or something. I got it from my mother who could play anything that had strings and sing like a lark in the spring. My father was one of the most musically handicapped I have ever met. He was an ER doctor and she was a music teacher. My little brother had a little of mom’s music talent but not much. He was eight and in love with superman. If you even brought up how amazing Spiderman or Wolverine was he would laugh at you and tell you how amazing Superman was.” Tears were escaping Violet’s eyes and Liam noticed this.
“We were on the way to pick my cousin Caleb and Uncle James up at the Providence airport. We had just left, there was still a long way to go and my mother was talking about how she was so proud of me. And my brother was doting on Superman like always. My dad was just laughing.”
“My baby. My baby girl is going to Europe for music.” Olivia doted on Violet who was blushing.
Chris smiled from the backseat next to Vie,” Vie you know I’m going to fly like superman one day?”
“Chris little boys can’t fly.” Vie flicked his arm and Chris flicked right back.
“Daddy Vie is being mean. She hit me.” Chris whined to his father in the front seat.
