You were sitting in your homeroom waiting for your best friend, Matt to get there. Until he got there you just had to listen to all the other girls brag about there dates for prom. You wanted Matt to ask you but you knew there was no way he would ever like you. You were pulled out of your thoughts when Matt snapped his fingers in front of your face.

"Daydreaming?" he asked you.

"No, I was just thinking" you told him even though you were daydreaming. You were daydreaming about him though and would never admit that to him.

"About what?" he asked you.

"Nothing, so what's up?"

"We'll I've been thinking about something lately to" he told you.

"And what's that?" you asked him.

"We'll I've had a crush on this amazing girl. You see the only problem is that I don't know if she likes me back, and I'm afraid that if I told her and she doesn't feel the same it would ruin our friendship."

"Just tell her, maybe asking her to prom would be a good hint" you told him while secretly feeling jealous since he liked someone else.

"Ok, I will" he told you.

Suddenly a awkward silence filled the space between the two of you. All if the sudden Matt looked over at you and said

"So (Y/N), will you go to prom with me?"

"You mean I was the girl you like?"

"Yah I mean well if you don't like me back you don't have to go with me, I could always...."

You cut him off "I would be honored to be your date for prom Matt!"

Matt looked at you, smiled, and pulled you into a hug.
