You had always been afraid of storms, but this storm seemed worse. Matt usually helped you get through the storms, but he was out with the boys, and you didn't want to call him and ruin his fun. He had told you to try to just ignore the storm, but with the weather radio going off every five minutes it was hard to ignore. The wind started to blow and it started to rain hard. You saw lightning and heard thunder, and you started to get really scared. You needed Matt to calm you down before you started panicking. Suddenly the house went black and the wind picked up. Tears started to form in your eyes and soon it became harder to breathe. It was just what you had feared, it was the start of a panic attack. You tried to calm yourself down by taking deep breaths, and you put on one of Matt's hoodies. Just his cologne on the hoodie helped you. You were almost calmed down as much as you could considering how afraid you were when you heard the front door open and shut. You stopped crying and tried to sit as quiet as possible. You heard your room door open and saw the flashlight from a phone turn on.

"(Y/N)" you heard the voice say. You knew that voice anywhere.

"Matt?" you said coming out more like a question.

"(Y/N) babe, were are you?" he said concern in his voice.

"Over here" you replied as you saw his flashlight turn toward your face. Then the light started to come forward towards you, and then felt Matt embrace you into his warm arms.

"(Y/N), why didn't you call me when the storm started? I would have come right home."

"I didn't want to ruin your night with the boys." you told him looking into his eyes.

"You wouldn't have ruined it, anyways I would rather be home cuddling and comforting my amazing girlfriend." he told you looking into your eyes before connecting your lips.

"I love you Matt."

"I love you to" was the last thing you heard before falling asleep in Matt's arms.
