Taeyeon couldn't sleep all night.
It's not because of how excited she has been since she left the safe house.
And it's not because she can't stop thinking about their romantic moment under the fireworks.
It's definitely not because the guy that makes her heart flutter every time he touched her is now lying down beside her.
The Princess opened her eyes slightly to look at Baekhyun who is sleeping beside her. When they reached home, both of them were so tired, they didn't even hesitate to lie down on the same bed. The pups were originally sleeping on the floor. But when they saw their owners sleeping on the bed, they decided to join them by sleeping between the two warm bodies.
She sighed as she reached out her hand and gently press onto Baekhyun's skin that is creased between his eyebrows with her finger. She could tell that he is having a nightmare. She could hear his troubled thoughts since she can mind-link him and he lets her into his mind easily.
He opened his eyes when he felt a pair of eyes on him. When their eyes met, Taeyeon gasped softly and pulled back her hand, but Baekhyun wrapped his fingers around her wrist, causing their hands to hold each other in mid air.
Taeyeon bit on her bottom lip as she looked at him, he was staring intently into her eyes. That is when Taeyeon notice that tear stain under his eyes. He was crying in his sleep. Her heart aches just by seeing his tears that are evident on his cheeks.
She didn't know since when she has become that brave with him. But without a word, she pulled herself towards him and wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest. She could hear his rapid heart beat and she feared that he will push her away. She felt him slowly letting go of her wrist as he accepted the hug by placing his hands behind her back.

She sent her telephatic message to him, hoping that he will reply.
I had a bad dream.
She hugged him tighter and let him take his time to tell her about his dream.
I saw my mother getting captured by the bad guys in front of me. It was a traumatic experience for me.
His inner voice sounded calm.
And I couldn't do anything to save her at that time because I was just a helpless little kid.
He continued.
It's okay. I had the same experience too. But I was one month old at that time, so I don't really remember anything.
She mind-linked him. The both of them stayed in that position as they shared with each other about their pasts through telepathic messages. Their conversation was so peaceful especially when they are transmitting their thoughts to each other. Taeyeon didn't restrain herself when she tell him all about her past. Baekhyun didn't have a problem listening to everything she has to said at all, he was glad that she can open up to him that easily. When Taeyeon didn't reply him for a long time, Baekhyun slowly let go of her when she has already fallen asleep.
She is the Princess. I must keep my distance.
Making sure that he doesn't accidentally wake her up, he placed Mongryong in her arms before getting up from bed. He smiled as he looked down at her. She looks very peaceful, her face showed no worries. It's almost 6:00 a.m in the morning and it's time for him to go out and prepare breakfast for his Princess before his friends wake up.
When he closed the door behind him, he almost jumped when Suho is standing right beside his door, casually peeling the skin off his apple.
"What are you doing here?"Baekhyun asked as he blocked Suho's sight from peering into his room. "Do you need anything?"
