It's a beautiful morning.
Taeyeon sat on the armchair, reading one of her all time favorite romance novels. She smiled in satisfaction as she closed the book, happy that she finally finished the book. Reading fictional stories about how two people fell in love with each other reminded her of Baekhyun and her.
She glanced at him from the armchair to see him reading a book near the window, sitting at the other armchair that he dragged across the room. It has been five months and a half since they lived together and she already knows so much about him.
Taeyeon could already list out a lot of things about Baekhyun.
1. His arch enemy is Lord Chun.
She avoids talking about Lord Chun when they are together.
2. He secretly loves hugs and cuddles.
She will hug him when she feels like it, sometimes give him a welcome hug when he comes back to the room. At times they will cuddle on the bed together while Baekhyun read a book for her. He never express himself, but she knows that deep down he loves warm hugs and cuddles.
3. He loves corgis.
No doubt about that. Mongryong is now getting spoiled by Baekhyun anyway.
4. He is sensitive.
Even though he doesn't show it, he will keep resenting himself for one mistake. Just like the night Tao got captured, she knew that he still doesn't forgive himself for that. He instantly goes silent whenever Tao comes to visit, feared that Tao will blame him although they always joke around about how Tao got captured.
5. He is a gentleman.
He's a gentleman material, does she need to explain more?
6. He loves to read non-fiction novels.
Their first debate is about genre of books. They had opposite tastes in books.
7. He's very charming.
At first she didn't see his charm at all, she just thought of him as her respected mentor's son who has a huge grudge against her because she is Lord Chun's niece. But after days of spending their time together, she realised that he can be really charming when he talks to her about his interests and hobbies.
8. He smiles a lot when he is with her.
He literally never stops smiling even when she is not doing anything. He smiles everytime he walks through that door and sees her sitting on his bed reading a book. Just like how he is smiling at her right now for daydreaming.
"What was on your mind?"he asked her.
"Nothing."she said.
"You do know that I can read your mind when you are off-guard."he said.
"Ugh...I told you many times to not read my mind without my permission."she said, crossing her arms in front of her chest. She feels embarassed that he read everything that was on her mind just now. "How much did you read?"she asked him.
"From point number 7 onwards."he replied as he got up from the chair. "That was very flattering."he said as he walked towards her and stopped in front of her, only leaving a gap between them.
Taeyeon smiled sheepishly at him and looked down at his feet, causing her head to lean against his abdomen. She wanted to hide her blush from him. She heard him chuckle and felt him cupping her ears to tilt her head up to look up at him.
"You don't need to be embarrass with me Princess."he said and leaned down to plant a kiss on her forehead. "Prepare for tonight. We are going to the Winter Formal ball later."he told her.
