The next day, an unexpected visitor came to visit.
Professor Byun came to visit them and Baekhyun had to explain to his father why and how the other guardians found out about Taeyeon.
"So father, why did you come to visit knowing how dangerous it is?"Baekhyun asked his father, forcing a smile on his face. Professor Byun cleared his throat and took a seat on the armchair.
"I came to give her highness her ball gown. I saw the maids throwing it out under Mistress Choi's orders. Mistress Choi is Taeyeon's aunt, who is also Lord Chun's wife. Taeyeon had always known that Mistress Choi had something against her since she was young.
"Thank you so much Professor!"Taeyeon thanked him as he handed her the bag. "Have you eaten breakfast yet? I will go and get some for you."she offered.
"Oh your highness you don't have to-"
"No worries Professor. Wait here."she interrupted him and went out of the room before Professor Byun could say anything. Once Taeyeon left the room, Professor Byun glanced at the puppies and at his surroundings. "How was it living with the princess?"he asked his son.
"It was okay."Baekhyun said nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders.
"Son."Professor Byun stood up from the chair and started to walk around. "Is there something you want to tell me?"he asked his son as he glanced around the room.
"No."
"Really? Cause I am really observant and I know what is going on even if you don't tell me."Professor Byun said as he stopped beside the bed. "You slept with the princess?"his father asked him.
"What?"Baekhyun scoffed in disbelief.
"Baekhyun, I sent her here because I believe that you can protect her and I also believe that the relationship remains professional."his father said and heaved a heavy sigh. "Does the princess feel the same way?"
"Father, I don't have to tell you everything about my personal life."
"I don't care who you date. But not the princess, son."Professor Byun said. "She's going back to the castle one day to become the Queen of EXO Planet. Have you thought about that?"his father reminded him.
Baekhyun kept quiet. He has been trying to not think that far. He wants to spend time with Taeyeon properly without thinking about the consequences. Now that his father reminded him, he was once again reminded why he rejected Taeyeon the first time.
"Baekhyun, make the right choice."his father said, giving him a pat on the shoulder. Taeyeon came back with a plate of pancakes and placed it on the table.
"Professor Byun, enjoy!"she smiled up at him, unaware of the serious tension between Baekhyun and his father. Baekhyun wrapped his arm around the princess' waist and pulled her closer to him. Taeyeon tensed and widened her eyes at Baekhyun, signaling him that his father is right in front of them.
"He found out."he leaned closer to her ear and whispered.
"Oh."she trailed off and smiled sheepishly at Professor Byun. "Baekhyun has been taking care of me."she said.
"Sure he has been, your highness."
"And I learned a lot of things in the period of my stay here."Taeyeon continued. "Baekhyun has helped me out a lot too."
"I'm glad that he is at your assistance your highness. But your highess, is my son worthy of your affection?"Professor Byun asked the princess. Baekhyun frowned, not because he is dissapointed that his father doesn't trust him, but because the girl he is dating is a Princess. Although he knew very well that Taeyeon is going to side with him, he still felt nervous to hear the princess' answer.
