(Rubapphire) Change!

Chapter 1: It's not a tutor It's a friend

Sapphire POV:

"Mmm..." I mumbled. I stretched and looked at the clock on my night stand 6:10 PM. Again I woke up before my alarm. I got out of my bed and looked at the mirror to see my messy hair. I grabbed my uniform from my wardrobe and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a shower. I changed in my uniform and tried to fix my hair put my bags in front of my eyes. I went back in my room to pick my bag. I walked down slowly in the kitchen and saw that my mom already made breakfast. " Hey" she said to me " Hey, mom. What are you cooking?" I asked trying to peek. " Just mashed eggs. You like?" " Sure." I said. She put two plates with mashed eggs on the table and sat. " So are you excited for your last year in high school?" she asked "More or less. It's going to be like always nothing new." I said plainly. " Huh, I was excited when I was graduating." she shrugged " You are separating with your friends, going to college, learn new things, meet new people." and then she started talking about college. I have already decided in which college I would go. I finished my meal " And then you are going to-" "Mom I should go for school now. You can finish later." I cut her off. " Ohh... Sorry, bye sweety.". I put my shoes " Bye mom."

I walked on foot to my school because it was near. ' Everything will be the same every day it's like the other. I went to school stay over 5 hours, go home, sleep and It goes again. Everything is so predictable.' I thought on my way.

Little time skip~

I was already in my school walking to my locker. So many students were there. When I reach my locker I saw a tall girl with short blue hair next to it. " Hi, Lapis." it was my best friend Lapis Lazuli a pretty and troubling girl If i have to say. " Hey Sapphire long time no see." she turned and smiled at me. " It wasn't such a long time just 3 months." I shrugged. "HEYO GUYS." we turned and saw Amethyst waving at us. " Hey Amethyst." we said. " So how did you like the summer?" she asked with a big grin on her face. " It was not bad." Lapis said " How about you Sapph?" she poked me a little " It was bearable." I answered. Then I noticed something " Amethyst why are you not wearing your uniform?" I asked her coldly. " Nah don't feel like it.". I don't get why she doesn't like the uniform it was cute a very dark blue knee length skirt and a white shirt with a blue tie. " Well you have to wear it or you will get in trouble again." I said . It was like that every year. " Why? The teachers don't care If we wear it or not."

The bell rang and we headed out to the classroom since we are in one class. " Still you have to-" short figure walked past me and I fell on the ground. When I looked back I saw it was a girl " WATCH IT!" was all she said and rushed. Everything went in a split of a second " Wow, Sapph you ok?" Amethyst asked and Lapis helped me get up. " Yeah, I am fine." I dust off my skirt. " What a jerk she didn't even apologise." Lapis said with quiet angry tone. " Who was this girl anyway?" I asked them since they communicate more than me " It seemed like Ruby." Amethyst said. " Who is Ruby?" Lapis and Amethyst looked at each other then at me " Just a girl." Amethyst said " Now let's go." Lapis said and we started walking faster. We arrived on time and took our sits. The teacher came and started the lesson but all I was thinking is of this girl. I couldn't see how she looked like. 'Why was she in a rush? Why was she angry? Did I do something? ' those were the questions I thought in the whole class.

Soon the class ended and I didn't learn nothing. Amethyst and Lapis were already out. I got my stuff and headed out of the classroom when the teacher stopped me " Sapphire? Rose Quartz wanted to see you." she said. I nodded and went to Rose Quartz' s office she was the school consultant and also she is very nice. I can proudly tell that she is my friend. I entered the room " Hello, Miss Quartz." I said and smiled. She was sitting on her desk and smiled " Hello Sapphire. You know that you can call me Rose." Beside her was a tall girl with pale skin and large nose. " Why did you call me?" I asked " Just to see you after such a long time." she laughed '3 months are not a long time!!' " Really?" I asked then her face turned serious " Well Sapphire I know that you have a good reputation among the teachers and you have good grades too." she said " Yes." " I want to give you a task If it' s not a problem?" she said and smiled again " What kind of task?" I asked " Nothing hard. Pearl please present the task." Rose said and looked at the tall girl named Pearl. " Of course, Ahem... You will be tutoring a student. She is as old as you and have a pretty bad grades and a bad attitude too. She is basically a monster." she finished " The last part wasn't needed Pearl." Rose looked at Pearl angrily " Sorry but you saw what she have done to me!" Pearl yelled " I know and that's why I give Sapphire the task to help her." she pointed at me

" Wait, wait ! Who is she?" I asked nervously " Well her name is Ruby. She is the girl that beated those girls in front of school." Pearl said. 'Oh yeah I remember this it was when the police came and an ambulance took three girls with broken ribs and arms. Wait they want me to tutor a girl who almost eliminate three persons also she pushed me'. " She almost kill those girls. If I do something wrong then I will be dead." . Rose motioned to Pearl to get out of the room. I started to get nervous. " Look Sapphire If you don't want to take this task I will understand you. But I really want you to try." What is she saying she want me try in this situation my first try will be my last " Why me? Why do you want me to tutor her? There are many good students." I said " Sapphire listen. You may think that Ruby is a bad person but are you sure that this is the truth?" she asked " Of what I heard she doesn't sound like a good person." I said " Heh Sapphire you can't judge her by the rumors you heard about her." Rose said " Miss Quartz I don't judge her by the rumors only I judge her by her actions. She send three girls in a hospital half dead. Isn't she a monster? " I said with all my confidence " Sapphire, the students treated her like a monster and she became a monster. She is very nice and kind once you get to know her." she said and smiled at me " I can make you sure that nothing bad will happen to you." I sighed and give up " Ok I will tutor her." " Greate If you need any help you can ask Pearl."

Then somebody knocked on the door " Oh! Just in time. Come in." she said loudly. I short girl came in. She had got a bandage which hold her puffy brown hair. I noticed that she wasn't wearing her uniform instead she was wearing a red tank top on which was written 'Eternal Flame', a black jeans and a dark red jacked. I was caught by the bright smile she has on her face face. I blushed she looked so cute. " Hey Rose! " she said and sat in a chair completely ignoring me " Hi Ruby how was your summer break?" Rose said " Oh ... You know the same drag as always." she scratched the back of her neck. "However what did you want to talk about?" Ruby asked playfully 'I can't believe that this girl is the same girl I met today she looked so happy and calm'. " Well I got you friend?" Rose said smiling " A friend? What kinda of game do you want me to play Rose?" her face was now confused and a little worried " No games." Rose said trowing her hands in the air " Just a friend who will help you with your studies." " Help me? YOU MEAN A TUTOR?!" she yelled the last part " I don't want you to accept her as a tutor more like friend." Rose said the girl started to get angry " Rose you know what will happen to this tutor If she meet me?!" Ruby said pointing at herself " No, no. She is different you will like her." She motioned me to come to Ruby and introduce myself " Hello I am Sapphire." I held out my hand 'Thank god my blush vanished' " You gotta be kidding me?" Ruby said looking at Rose " Don't be rude!" Ruby sighed and shook my hand " Ruby nice to meet Sapphire and I hope you survive." she said with an evil grin on her face 'Rose save me'. " RUBY!!" Rose yelled " What I am just being friendly and warned her." she smiled at Rose.

" Okey now you two can go I hope you get along." Rose said waving at us as we left the room.

" Don't bet on that." I heard Ruby whisper and walked away. This girl...

'I want to see her smile again'
