Chapter 8

Today it wasn't her alarm that woke her up, it was her sister Eliza.

"You ready for tonight? Cuz I am" Eliza bounced of Peggy's bed.

"Eh," Peggy mumbled wishing she could just sleep for the whole day.

"Come on. It will be fun. Now hurry up and get ready" Eliza said as she practically skipped out of Peggy's room.

Peggy quickly got dresses, did her hair, and put on light makeup. Then grabbed a muffin and joined her sisters outside in Angelica's car.

They drove to school and Peggy went directly to her locker. She quickly went to her first class before anyone could bug her.

The day dragged on. Minutes felt like hours. Finally the last bell rang and she rushed out of chemistry to join her sisters at the car. They hopped in a drove home.

Peggy had no homework because of homecoming tonight. She grabbed a cupcake from the kitchen and ate it. Her sisters were already getting ready even though they had two hours.

She went up to her room and did her makeup. She only redid her eye shadow and lipstick. She blended dark drown and tan eye shadow together and put on a light pink lipstick.

She put her hair up in two french braids that went into a bun.

She put her dress on and some light yellow 3" heals. Ready.

She grabbed her small yellow hand bag and put her phone and lipgloss in it before heading out to the entryway to wait for her sisters.

Soon her sisters arrived at the door and they drove to school.

They walked into the school to see Alex, Herc, John, Laf, and Maria. They all walked into the gym and found Aaron and Theo waiting at a table for them.

"Hey. Finally," Aaron said as the group walked over to them.

They all started talking and they the went out to the dance floor to dance.

Peggy and Laf started dancing.

"You want some punch?" Laf asked Peggy.

"Uh ya sure," Peggy responded looking behind Laf at John and Maria dancing and laughing. Laf didn't notice her.

Laf walked off to go get punch. Angelica was standing near the punch station while Herc was in the bathroom.

Maria walked out of the gym and to the bathroom leaving John alone. John walked up to Peggy.

"Hey. You having fun?" John asked Peggy.

"Eh. I could be better," she responded.

"What's wrong?"

"I'd rather be here..." she stopped in the middle of her sentence. "Just not having a good time I guess."

"Oh. Well..." he pressed his lips up against Peggy's.

Peggy was in shock. What if Laf saw? What would Laf say? She pushed those thoughts out of her mind, closed her eyes, and melted into the kiss.

John pulled away after a few seconds. Peggy looked over to the punch bar to see if Laf saw and saw him and Angelica kissing. She was a bit hurt that he would do that but I guess she just did it too.

A minute later Laf walked up to Peggy without any punch.

"Peggy can I talk to you?" He had clearly seen her and John.

"Ya sure."

The two walked over to the corner of the room away from the dance floor.

"Don't think I didn't see you kiss John."

"Don't think I didn't see you kiss my sister," Peggy snapped back.

"..I-I'm sorry. But you kissed him first. I don't want to be with someone who kisses someone else."

"You did it too. Don't get mad at me. Maybe we just shouldn't be together."

"Maybe we shouldn't."

"Ok. Fine." He walked off to Angelica who was just talking to Herc.

~Meanwhile~

Herc walked up to Angelica after Laf walked away.

"Really Angie, really? I know I'm not your boyfriend but still. You can't go around kissing other boys while your here with me. I can't believe you." Herc walked away to Maria who had just walked away from John without even letting Angelica answer.

~Meanwhile~

Maria walked up to John as Laf and Peggy walked away.

"John? Really? I'm not your date but you still should have told me you had feelings for someone else." Maria said.

"I'm sorry. I should have told you. Sorry." John explained.

"You can go talk to Peggy. I'll leave you alone." She walked off.

~Present~

Peggy walked up to John

"So..." Peggy said looking at the ground. "Laf and I broke up."

"I'm sorry..."

"No, no. Don't be sorry. It's fine. I love you."

"I-I love you too." John kissed her.

Peggy closed her eyes and kissed back. When she pulled away many seconds later she saw Laf and Angelica talking and laughing and smiled. Looks like everyone was happy, everyone except Herc.

Herc didn't get Angelica but he seemed pretty happy talking to Maria.

They danced until it was time to announce the prom king and queen.

This was a long chapter for me. Part two to the homecoming will be posted soon. I want to write another fanfic inspired by some fanfics I'm reading but I don't know what to call it.
