chapter two ; first encounter

Finally. Work is over. Serving annoying humans is really tiring. I change to casual clothes and open up my phone. I decided to do my first ever vlog, not showing my face, of course. I hit the record button way too early, I’m not even out of the shop yet! I get out of the front door but then a guy opens it instead.

“There you go!” He exclaims. Wait, why does he sound so familiar?

“Thank you!” I say. How awkward.

“No problem.” He responds.

When I was a good distance from the shop, I decided to video tape the road while walking.

“Hey there, you guys! I’m doing a vlog! Wow, are you proud of me? Well, uh, I’m just walking home from work.

Oh, and I know what you’re thinking! Why does Autumn have work? Isn’t she supposed to be going to school since she’s only 19? I have the answer to that question! Summer and I actually started school early and we were both good that we accelerated twice, I think? But, yeah, we’re actually smart. Unbelievable, right?

Anyway, while going out of the place I work in, a guy opened the door for me. Oh, big deal. This person really sounds familiar, but I don’t know who it is so, I’ll roll the clip for you guys to help me figure it out.

I ended recording right when I got to the front of our house. I opened the door and Summer greeted me right away.

“Hey little sis!” I loved teasing her with that.

She scoffs. “Ugh, stop being annoying. Anyway, how was work? Mine was fucking tiring.” She actually works as a tutor or I guess a babysitter while I went for an easier job a.k.a. Dairy Queen.

“Same as usual. But, hey, I did a vlog! Maybe you should do one too!”

“Already did. Toured my room. It was a group of YouTubers thing which started with Graser then we made a bunch of sequels.” She laughs. I know all her YouTube friends. Sometimes she would record with me and someone else.

“Cool. I’m going up, try to edit this vlog thing. See you!”

I jogged up the stairs then changed to shorts and a big shirt. I rewatched the vlog and noticed that there were a lot of times where my face was almost shown. I then decided to not upload it anymore. I sighed.

I just went on YouTube and checked Summer’s video with me on it. I got so hooked with watching my sister’s videos. Maybe I should make gaming videos as well. Let me ask her...

I run to her room where she’s watching someone’s vlog.

“Hey, Summer! What are you watching?”

She giggles. “It’s Graser’s new vlog. Watch it! He lives here too!”

She gives me one of the ear plugs and I listened to him talking to himself.

“Black and yellow.” He says while walking towards a place which looks exactly like the place I was at about 2 hours ago. The next clip plays.

“There you go!” Graser opened the door for someone.

“Thank you!” Wait, what?

“No problem.”

Summer pauses the video and looks at me weirdly. I froze. “Was that you?”

“I - uh. Yeah...?”

“So you saw his face?! Nobody knows what he looks like!”

I just shrugged.

“Well, let’s change the subject then. Autumn, why are you here?”

“Oh! Yeah! I was thinking of making gaming videos too? We could share TwinsSing then I could make a new channel which will be TwinTwo. What do you think?” I bite my lip. I hope she’s okay with it.

“Are you sure? Oh my gosh! Yes! Go do it now! We can make your first video today!” She smiles. “You can also join The Cube. It’s the multiplayer server I’m in.”

“Yeah, I know that...” I nod. “I’ll do it now.”
