chapter seventeen ; decision

Achoo!

“You better get some sleep…” My sister says.

I sniffle then shake my head. “I don’t think I can.”

“I’ll just sleep here with you tonight.”

“Sure…”

“Do you want me to make you hot chocolate?”

“Okay.” I nod.

Summer sighs and proceeded to go downstairs.

I lay there, thinking about Zach. What could he be doing right now? Probably making out with that girl, eh? But then again, what if the girl kissed him and he was pulling away? Should I have asked for an explanation? Maybe I should have stayed. I shook my head and sigh.

I don’t really know what I feel. Am I furious? Am I devastated? Probably a mix of both.

“Wake, up, sis. It’s lunch time.”

My eyes flutter open and I rub them. The first thing I see is my sister holding a tray of food. “Wow, lunch in bed. Thanks.” I mutter.

She places the food down on my side table. “I need to go to work, you’ll be okay?”

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. I need to think about stuff first.”

“Just tell me if you need his ass beat up, alright? For now, eat. See you.”

I smile then nod. She smiles back softly then closes the door. I sigh. Alone again.

I ate my food slowly, with the TV playing Fairly Odd Parents in the background. I finished my food then went down to wash the plate.

I know what’ll make me happy, YouTube! Maybe not the Minecraft portion of it though… I went back upstairs to my computer and opened up YouTube. The first thing I saw broke my heart.

This is a bad idea, Autumn.

“Hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of the Minecraft Hunger Games. Today I’m with an old friend of mine, Mer!” Who?

“Hello, YouTube!” Oh. Her.

“So how are you today, Mer?”

“I’m doing really good! Somebody made me really happy today, if you know what I mean.”

Zach laughs. Oh how I love that laugh… I sigh, again. It’s sigh day today!

I scrolled down to the comments while the video was playing in the back.

That’s not Autumn…

Where’s your girlfriend? Is she replaced?

I want Grautumn. Where the fuck is it?!

She sounds fake… I don’t like her. Autumn for life!

I didn’t even realize the tears flowing down. “I guess we’re over…” I whisper.

The video was still playing… He sounded really… happy… I exited it. My chest is aching.

Just then, a Skype call popped up. Zach?

I look at the people calling. Liam, Jordan and Ally.

Oh, I just got my hopes up…

I clicked the one without the video.

“Hey.” I muttered. “I don’t really want to talk right now…”

There was a moment of silence. “Autumn…” Jordan said softly. “We know what happened. Summer told us.”

“Yeah, we need to beat him to pulp. He’s a jerk.” Liam says.

“Calm down, Li. If you ever need someone to talk to, we’re all here.” Ally advised.

“Thanks guys…” I mumble. “I don’t know what to do…”

“Give him a chance. I can tell that he loves you.” Ally answers first.

“No. Don’t forgive that ass.” Liam counters.

Then Jordan speaks. “I say give it a week and if he doesn’t show up, you go there.”

“I’ll go with Jordan's… but I really wanna be alone right now.”

They murmur an okay then I ended the call. I sat on my spinny chair, arms crossed, eyes furrowed.

I thought about what Ally said. He loves you.

Does he really? Doesn’t seem like it…

In a week, I’m going to his house. I’m going to tell him that I want him back.
