Chapter Four
“Yeah, dude. Hey, Autumn, when’s the pizza coming?” I ask. I need my pizza right now.
“At 6:45, it’ll be here.” She sits down beside me while Summer’s just standing there, studying us.
“You two would make a good couple. Is it weird that I ship my twin sister with one of my best friends?”
Autumn looks at her, then to me. When we met eyes, she blushed and looked down. I guess she’s shy to admit it.
“See what I mean? This ship will totally float, I swear.” Summer smirks.
I just stared at Autumn for a while, smirking. Does she actually like me?
Then the doorbell rings. I notice Autumn about to get it but Summer buts in.
“Oh! I’ll get it. Stay here.” She winked at Autumn.
I clear my throat. “So, what flavor did you order?”
“Just cheese! It’s the best.” She smiles at me with that adorable smile of hers.
I smile back. “Any pizza is the best!”
Summer comes in, carrying the pizza on her hands. “I see you two agree with my statement! Just date already!” Hmm.
“Please shut up…” Autumn groans.
“Yeah! Let’s eat!” I shout, I want my pizza so bad…
We just ate and talk and by 8:30, I needed to go home.
“Hey, I gots to go.”
“Oh, alright. Autumn, bring him to the door. I’m going up.” Summer yawns.
Autumn and I walk outside.
“Text me when you get home, alright? It’s late.” She worries about me?
“Yeah. Oh and Autumn? Think about Summer’s offer.” I beam. Why I said that? I don’t know.
Chapter Nine
“Graser10cpmcytugly in the house! What’s up?” I shout once someone opened the door.
“Shit, man. Don’t go in there. We’re doing a face reveal livestream! They probably heard you. Well, they know we know each other IRL but you know… unless you wanna face reveal with us.” Autumn pulls me outside. She looked really gorgeous today. Actually, nope. She looks beautiful everyday.
“Nope. Nevermind. I’m staying here though.”
“Wait, actually… I think you should show your face!” What?
“What? But they won’t like it I’m sure. They’ll hate me after.” It’s true, what if they stop watching me because of what I look like?
“The fuck? Do you think you’re ugly?” She cusses.
“Yes.” I look down at my feet. I do, honestly. I don’t think I’m good looking at all.
“Woah. Well, I’m sure the fans won’t mind if you’re ugly. Actually, no. You’re not ugly, Zach. You look like a fucking greek god and you’re hot. Okay. Do you understand?” She rants, covering her mouth after.
My eyes widen. Is that what she thought? I smirk at her. “I’m a fucking greek god, eh?” I move forward and pinned her on the door. I don’t know what came over me. Nobody has really called me good looking in any way. “You really think I’m hot?”
“Y-yeah.” She stutters. Somehow, she gets nervous around me.
I lift up her head so she can look at me. “Then I’ll do it.” I whisper. I really want to kiss her, but I can’t. Control yourself, Zach. Not yet. “Let’s go.”
“O-okay.” She says. This is it. I’ll do this for the fans, for myself, and for Autumn. I’ll do a face reveal.
Chapter Ten
“I know I am. Now sing for me because I wanna sleep.” I tell her. I want to hear her angelic singing voice before I drift off to sleep.
“It’s 2:30 PM! But, okay. Uhm.” She got her guitar and I smiled at her. I closed my eyes and listened. She always gives me chills.
“The way you move is like a full on rain strorm and I’m a house of cards. You’re the kinda reckless that should send me running but I kinda know that I won’t get far. And you stood there in front of me just close enough to touch, close enough to hope you couldn’t see what I was thinking of.
“Drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain, kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain. 'Cause I see sparks fly whenever you smile. Get me with those green eyes, baby, as the lights go down. Give me something that’ll haunt me when you’re not around. 'Cause I see sparks fly whenever you smile.” She sings softly and slowly. Her voice is so calming that I just let sleep take over me.
Chapter Eleven
We were just eating our pizzas in silence until I spoke up. “Can you believe we’re finally meeting them in a week?”
She paused to think. “I’m so excited, Zach. It’s gonna be so much fun!”
“Guys are gonna swarm around you, I know it.”
“No, I’m pretty sure all your fangirls will ask you to marry them or kiss them or something.” She shrugs, trying to tell me she doesn’t care. I know she does, though.
“I’d say no anyways.” I turn to her. “No need to be jealous.”
“Who told you I’m jealous?” She asks me, obviously lying.
“You sound and act like it. I would be jealous too.” I smirk.
“W-what?” She does what she does the most, blush and look down.
“You’re so cute when you’re flustered.” I tell her. She suddenly lifts her head up at me and our faces are close.
I look into her beautiful brown eyes and lean forward. I’m gonna kiss her. Her eyes flutter close, our lips brushing into each other. Come on.
“Open the goddamn door!” Someone bangs on the door, interrupting us.
Autumn jumps back and I groan. It was so close! She opens to door and Summer steps in. “Thanks.” She says.
Summer, come on. Are you serious right now? I glare at her.
“So…” Autumn says.
“I think I should go. See you guys.” I stand up and leave. Damn it, Zach! What if she doesn’t feel the same way? You’re gonna ruin your friendship because of your stupid hormones.
I need some time to sort out my feelings…
