My parents warned me
About the drugs in the streets
But never the one's with big
Brown eyes and a heartbeat.

"Hey beautiful." Logan said while joining the line behind me in the cafeteria.

"Hey yourself." I said as he pulled me into a hug.

The people around us went quiet and the whispering began. How typical.

"Everyone's staring." I whispered as I took a tray and continued with the line.

"At least we giving them something to talk about." He said, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and placing small kisses on my neck.

Holy shit.

Now this definitely got people staring.

"Stop it!" I whisper yelled but I couldn't stop smiling, so he couldn't take me seriously, heck, I couldn't take me seriously. Probably because I didn't actually want him to stop but that isn't the point right now. He eventually let go of me (which sucked) and took a tray.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, was looking at us. Even the lunch lady shook her head at me before dumping a spoon of mash on my plate.

Logan and I walk to our table where Carlos, Gwen and Devin are.

"So what's going on here?" Devin asked, probably for all of them because they were all looking up at us.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I sat next to Devin.

"What does he mean?" Gwen asked, raising an eyebrow at me. "Is there something you and Logan want to tell us?" She continued.

"No. Not that we know of." Logan said.

"Maybe you can start of by telling us why you took Rouge to the team's hideout yesterday." Carlos said with a small frown lined on his face.

"Wait he did what?" Devin asked with a surprised look on his face.

"How did you know about that?" Logan asked, equally as serious as Carlos.

"You know that place is only for the team." Carlos said, slightly raising his voice.

"I asked you a question." Logan said.

"And what makes you think I actually care about what-"

"Guys stop!" Gwen exclaimed which made the people around us stop with whatever they were doing and stare. "Whatever y'all are fighting about, it gotta stop now. Can you see it's ruining your friendship?"

"Our friendship was ruined the moment he tried to challenge me." Logan said.

"How could I challenge you on something I already won."

"Nah boy, you started the race but I finished it." Logan said as he stood up from his seat. "Now will you excuse me, I've got somewhere to be." He said before leaving.

Kendrick and Matthew came right after Logan left. Ken sat next to Carlos and they immediately started talking nonstop about something and it seemed like they were speaking some other language. I literally heard nothing.

"You should be careful." Matthew said to me which was odd because Matthew and I hardly talk and I don't know what he was talking about.

Should I be worried?

"Okay guys, you will be paired for the class assessment due next week Thursday. This time I'll be nice to you and let you guys choose who your partners will be. Begin." Mrs. Kirk said.
