"So thats how it is?" Mayu stared, dumbfounded. This girl... Niko.. was dead.. as dead as any of the corpse from Heavenly Host... and yet... here she was.. standing infront of her, breathing.. alive. Mayu thought.. staring at the girls sad grey eyes. "Where.. where did you die?", The girl was silent for a second before responding, "Heavenly Host". This response made her blood run cold, "How..? How are you here then?". Niko thought once again before finally saying, "When you left... The school's boundary broke.. some of us were able to seep through before the boundary fixed itself...". "Boundary?", Mayu tilted her head never having heard about this before. Niko nodded, "The closed spaces.. are sorta like a cell.. they have all the small parts inside surrounded by a big membrane that chooses what comes in and out.. the problem being that once something managed to leave that it didn't want to, it went into chaos trying to figure out what to keep in and what to let leave. It didn't take long for it to fix itself.. but that momentary confusion allowed some of us go escape." Finally she ended clasping her hands together. Mayu nodded understandingly. Suddenly her eyes lit up in realization, "that means!! Our friends could-" "Yes they may be here..". Mayu nodded not noticing the sorrowful tone of the girls voice. "Maybe- surely we could get them back then!" Niko sat silent her eyes grim and sad not answering the girls statement. Mayu smiled softly gazing out the window, "Then.. we can be a big happy family.. like all of this never happened..", Still Niko sat silent watching Mayu monologue. Mayu suddenly stood up smiling brightly, "We should go tell Seiko the good news! Common!" Mayu smiled sweetly offering her hand to the apparition. The ghostly girl stared at her hand, the sullen look mixing with confusion. "I can't take your hand.." , Mayu looked slightly puzzled before realizing her mistake and withdrew her hand. "Sorry Niko.. anyways lets go!" Mayu smiled and ran out excited to share this new revelation with her friend. Silently, Niko hovered for a second . Unsure of weather to be annoyed or happy about this person. She had been alone for so long in that school, as half shadow. Even if this person does turn out to be annoying.. at least it would be better than staying at that dreadful school...
