Chapter 2
After a couple minutes of awkward silence in the room, Chase helped me up and held into me while he walked me to our bedroom. I was still a little nauseous.
After he pulled the covers up to meet my chest, he sat on the side of the bed and asked again, "Are you okay?"
I looked at him with a worried look in my face wondering what he was going to think about what I was about to say.
After a good five minutes hesitating and waiting for words to leave my lips, he said to me, "Alexis, I'm worried about you. I left the house and five minutes later I walked into the room and you were throwing up and you won't tell me why. Please just tell me."
I was so scared of the words about to escape my mouth, so I said, "I don't know how to tell you this so I'll just come out with it.... I'm... I'm... I'm pregnant!" After those words escaped I started to cry, I couldn't stop crying for ten minutes because he didn't say anything, he was just trying to calm me down. He was in shock.
