I answered the door with Mr. Fluffletoes in one arm and Haylee beside me. She had changed into this beautiful black sequin dress with a pearl necklace and the highest pair of stilettos.

‘Welcome take a seat, make yourself at home!’ Father said.

‘Be a dear and put my bag up will you?’ she said dumping it on me.

We all sat at the table as father prepared cutlery and napkins and such. ‘Shall I get the wine?’ Veronica asked father as he sat down at the table’

‘Oh, would you be a dear, its in the basement?’ He smiled ‘Girls isn’t she lovely?

Veronica turned around and stopped as I looked at her.

‘Absolutely delightful!’ I said in a sarcastic voice shoving a mouthful of veggies in. At least Haylee laughed...father just sighed at me.

Well what does he expect! Our mother died, DIED, D-I-E-D and he is finding another woman, I think that’s darn right disrespectful.

Veronica came back with the wine and placed on the table. Father began to open the lid when he realized Veronica had grabbed the wrong one.

‘Oh it seems that you’ve grabbed the wrong one, Ill just go down and get the other one’ Father said getting up.

Veronica stopped him ‘Please let me, but oh may I take Avary just to help me get the right one?’

‘Of course, Avary up you get’ He smiled.

I walked with Veronica down the hallway and into the basement; she shut the door behind us.

‘ I think father wants the red spar-‘ She stopped me.

‘Do you have a problem with me?’ She sniggered.

I began to speak but she continued….

‘Because I might be beginning to have a problem with you! Your father is a great man, he’s the full package Avary and If I want to become his girlfriend, lets say wife even, I definitely don’t need you in the way!

I stood there with my mouth open shaking my head ‘Oh don’t worry, he aint gonna marry that ass’ I cheekily smiled as I slammed the basement door. I walked back to the table,

‘Where’s Veronica?’ Father asked.

‘She said she could find it’ I said eating the rest of my dinner.

‘Found it!’ We heard coming from the hallway.

‘Uh Father, me and Haylee are going to my room’ I said pulling Haylee’s arm.

‘Haylee and I’ He said correcting me.

‘Whatev! I yelled from the hallway
