while heather was walking with the boys, she barely knew what was going on. she heard shit about some big guy named like ben or some basic name getting stabbed by henry bowers and his dick group. she mostly a) freaking out about what previously happened at the sewer and b) freaking about what was going on currently. soon, they were heading towards an alley.

"what the hell?" heather suddenly said above all the shouting.

"don't you know what's going on? you were literally the first person to notice him." eddie replied quickly.

"no, i don't, actually."

"ugh."

they sat ben down, and began to talk amongst themselves about how they were going to aid him.

"there's a store down the road." heather stated.

by the time she was finishing her sentence, half the group was already gone. heather started to follow them.

"but, seriously, i've been freaking out since we left the sewer. what's going on?"

"ben was stabbed by henry bowers and we need to help him out." eddie answered.

when they finally arrived at the store, they all rushed to the first aid aisle. little to their knowledge, beverley marsh was only a few aisles down, choosing which kind of tampon to buy.

"okay guys, how much money do we all have?" eddie asked.

the group all put their coins and dollars together. unfortunately, they were all a few dollars short. they all groaned. then, beverley passed the aisle. she offered to help them by her and heather distracting the cashier while the boys snuck out with their stuff. they all abided, and made their way towards the door while the girls went to the cashier.

"you look like clark kent with those glasses, you know?" beverley said, smiling at the cashier.

"really?" he replied.

"mhmm."

heather looked back at the boys and nodded, signalling that the coast was clear. they sped walked out the door. bev and heather kept flirting with the cashier for a good two minutes before they left.

they walked down back to the alley to the kids patching ben up.

"you okay?" heather asked the injured boy.

he only nodded in pain.

it was very late when heather actually got home. so late, that her brother's must have been fast asleep. but was that the case? cause heather heard running water.

she followed the sound to see the bathroom was over flowing. she started to get a little freaked out. she hoped that zachary hadn't drowned when taking a bath. but wouldn't milo have found him by now? it was past ten o'clock.

as she grew nearer to the door, she was shaking. a lot. heather slowly cracked the door open to find milo. in the tub. surrounded by bloody water. there were slits in his wrists. not across, but vertically. sje immediately started to cry. she didn't care if she woke up zach. hell, she didn't care if she woke up all of maine.

heather trudged through the thin lining of red water, balling her eyes out. she kneeled in the water, taking her brother's limp body in her arms, cradling his head.

there were never any signs. but, silence is the loudest scream. damn. moments later, zachary came walking to the door.

"heatha? what's wrong?"

she turned to look behind her, quickly wiping the tears off of her flushed skin, "nothing, sweetie. go back to bed."

"are you sure?"

"yes. i love you, zachy."

as soon as he left, she returned to milo. she knew he was never coming back. but one little part of her still had faith. still had hope.
