"give them back!" heather yelled at the bully (belch) standing in front of her.

"no, because i think everyone should see your swamp eyes before you move away with your fag brothers again." he said, holding the sunglasses in the air.

rage bubbled inside of heather, and before she knew what she was doing, she punched belch right in the face, surprisingly hard, in fact. she isn't very muscle-y.

"don't you dare ever call my brothers fags again! they are not fags, you dipshit!"

everyone started gathering round the two students, including the loser club.

"what did you call me, slut?"

"i called you a dipshit, because that's what you are, for calling my brothers fags, and me a slut!" she slapped his face, hard.

"heather!" yelled one of the losers. she ignored them.

"you should be ashamed of yourself! putting so many people through this shit. you're a fuck-face." she yelled.

"wow, i feel so hurt," belch said, putting a hand over his heart, "shut the hell up, you don't speak do a man like that."

"i can speak to a man however i want."

suddenly, images of her parents came back to her. the way they yelled and screamed and hit each other. heather's eyes filled with tears, threatening to spill out. she turned around to face the losers club, knowing that they were behind her. she walked away, with them following behind her.

"heather! what the hell do you think you were doing?!" eddie whisper-yelled to her.

all she did was shrug, refusing to face them due to the tears spilling down her cheeks.

"are you okay? you kinda looked like you just froze out there." richie asked.

all she did was nod.

"a-are you su—re? y-you won't even t-t-talk to us." bill questioned, concerned.

all she did was whip around, "yes! i'm fucking fabulous. is that the answer you wanted?"

"you're crying." eddie said in that are-you-fucking-stupid-you-dont-even-know-yourself voice.

"i know that. i'm not dumb." she stated.

"then why did you say you were okay?" richie chimed.

"because i am."

"then why are you crying?"

"because..."

"you can trust us."

more tears fell, "have i ever told you guys about my parents?"

they all shook their heads.

"well, they abused each other. that's why i looked like i froze out there; i was thinking about.. them." even more tears fell.

bill held out his arms, "i'm sorry."

"it's okay." she said in a small voice.
