Her skin was velvet wine

Her hair a golden lilac

Breathing in shades of fire

As she gleamed against a molten sun

She was every fractal of light

Pierced in the contrast of night's constellations

A queen of sunset shadows

Kissing the skies in vermilion lips

He had the contours of smoke

His smile was a deep, wicked black

Devoid of shades in tangible hues

Lost in a picturesque gray photo

He was a dampened storm full of fever

Avoiding the violence and streaks of colors

Fallen in love with the faded undertones

Pressed against bloodless melancholy

She glistened with every footstep

She filtered his overcast eyes

Pink melodies blushing her presence

While fractions of gold coated his dark

He saw her as a summer art

Painting her scenes in drips of acrylics

She saw him as a winter sorrow

Teaching a whitened world to sing

Her summer needed his winter

Her colors needed his grayscale

Complimenting their emptiness

Making a picture come to life
