My eyes ache beneath the heavy silence
I'm bent in a way that can't be mended
Clinging onto you're stakes for support
But you found someone that made you glimmer
Like fractured starlight, your skin glowed
Smiles whispering on the breeze
And now the aura around me is stifled
This quiet is so loud, louder than thunder
My skin is sleek with rain
Profound and sinister storm clouds collect in eyes
My emotions are icy and starved
I felt desperate for protection against the wind
I was so weary of fighting against this downpour
I wanted to be cleaned and to sit beneath a comforting moon
To sit against shades of faint orange
The trees black spiders against the skies
I needed someone to reach my side
Promising me clear skies and fresh sunlight
I never asked to be replaced by the smoke of this heat
This wildfire that shreds my fingers
And now the loneliness of this cloudburst is all I have
