Reader's P.O.V

"(Y/N), can you come down here please?!" I heard my mum yell as I finished up my homework.

" Coming mum!" I shouted in reply as I tided up the open books and paper on my desk, assorting them into organised piles of school essentials. After cleaning up, I walked down the staircase and into the living room where I found my parents quietly discussing something that seemed to be important due to the serious look on their faces. Thinking that it would be rude to eavesdrop on their conversation, I knocked on the open door beside me, attracting their attention.

" Oh! There you are dear," my mother acknowledged as I nodded lightly, " well come here and sit beside me and your father then." she instructed as I sat in between my parents on the soft sofa, my hands resting on top of each other upon my lap with my legs placed together and my back straight. I was taught how to become formal and polite after attending a 'manners and etiquette' teaching program, all throughout the summer holidays after an incident of foul behavior at school, I swear it wasn't my fault that rotten muffin sort of girl made fun of my long-distance relationship with Butters and it really made my inner kettle boil! (hahaha I made you sound so posh there! I'm sorry but that's who you are in this fanfic. XD)

" If you don't mind me asking, um, what is it that you need?" I asked as politely as I could, looking curiously at my parents' trouble faces. slowly getting worried at their expressions, I tried to stop my stomach from churning and pulled an innocent face to cover my slight agony.

" Well... honey, you're father has been given a promotion..." my mother answered.

" Really? That's wonderful dad! Congratulations!" I congratulated my father, hugging him by his torso and nuzzling into his chest, a wide smile spreading across my face as he released a low chuckled from the back of his throat.

" Thank you, sweet-pea but that isn't all we've called you down here to talk about." he said embracing me for a moment before I pulled away with my hands still clutching the fabric of his waist line, my smile turned genuine as I looked up at my dad.

" So there's more good news?" I asked looking hopeful, my agony disappering.

" Well we don't know, it depends on your decision dear." he stated as my smile flattered slightly and gave him a questioning look but I still had hope it would be good.

" What is it then?"  I asked, my agony returning as I got even more worried

" Since your father has been prompted we have to move to South Park so that he is can be closer to his job." my mother confirmed, placing her hand on my shoulder as I moved away from both of them all my previous hope disappearing at the thought of moving. What if he comes back when I move away? I want to see him again, I can't let them take advantage of the situation. They both know my relationship with Butters and always supported our love for each other but why aren't they doing that now? Sure, Butters hasn't been answering my messages, phone calls or even my letters but I still love him! How dare they try to drive us apart!

" What?!" I was outraged, I saw my parents cringe at my volume but I ignored that, " I can't go now, Butters could come back any minute and you're just trying to separate us even more? How could you do this?!"

" That's why we were unsure dear, we know you love him but..." my mother paused locking gazes with my father somehow uncertain of her next maneuver of words, " he hasn't been contacting you for the past 3 years and you've been very depressed by that...we were thinking that maybe, this is what's best for you..." no, they-they wouldn't think of 'that' would they? "...we think that it's time for you to move on." NO!

" No! I love him and you can't make me move to that place! whatever you call it!" I cried feeling hot tears stain my cheeks as my vision began to blur, " he's just busy is all OK? He won't forget about me... he promised." I whispered the last part afraid that he really was breaking his promise, no he isn't the person to do that! I have to believe in him.

" But sweetheart-" I slapped my mothers hand away, a shadow draping upon my tearful face.

" Don't touch me!" I bawled, " just leave me alone..." I muttered, running up the stairs and collapsing onto my bed. I cuddled the giant teddy bear butters sent me for my 12th birthday, it was the very last item he sent me. I sobbed louder at the thought of that, dampening the soft, fluffy fur of the hug-able animal and slowly drifted of to sleep thinking about Butters and the advice me parents gave me.
