24. Night Thing

Jacks P.O.V.

Jay, Michael, Daniel, Jonah, Mikey, Chance, Zach, Christina, Corbyn and I were all hanging out in Jays hotel room after the show. We were all scattered around the room talking. I was sitting in the office chair talking with Mikey about music. Every once in a while I would glance at Jay who was laughing and smiling with Daniel. 

"Jack." I heard someone say from behind me.

"what?" I said turning around to see it was Jonah.

"a few of us are heading out, we'll see you tomorrow. " He said

"Alright, I'll see you guys tomorrow." I said

That was when, Corbyn, Christina, Zach, Chance, Jonah, And Michael all left. It was just Mikey, Daniel, Jay and I left in the room.  Jay had changed after the concert and was now in shorts and a hoodie. I loved watching Jay and how she smiled when she laughed. Mikey and I moved to the bed that Jay and Daniel were on. All of us then got deep into conversation about life.

"I just don't know." Jay said, "like I am out here doing such cool things with people who I love. Though it really is so much fun to be out here and I love what I am doing. I don't think this is what I want to do forever, you know what I'm saying? Like this was my dream for such a long time, but here I am and I don't think it is what I want."

"If this isn't what you want then what do you want?" Daniel said

"That is the other thing, I don't really want to do anything. I have the money and means to just go, I just want to go." Jay said, "But I don't know where I want to go, or what I want to do. I know what my end goal in life is but to get there is very blurry. I know where I want to be I just don't know how to get there, if I will even end up there at all you know?"

"I know what you are saying." I said

"see and I know you know what I am saying but at the same time you also really don't." Jay said, "Because our dreams have always been on completely opposite sides of the dream spectrum." 

"My dreams have always been wild and here I am out here living them, and still chasing them." I said, "I think that proves that all you really have to do is like go out and get your dreams. Like it really just shows that if you work hard you can do anything."

Jay sighed as Daniel agreed with what I was saying.

"Yeah, you just have to keep working to get to where you want to be." Daniel said

"But how are you supposed to work to where you want to be if you aren't sure where you want to be." Mikey said

"Exaclty." Jay said

"Maybe you are just having a mini existential crisis." Daniel said, "Cause like three weeks ago at this time of night you were spilling to me what you wanted to do with your future, who you wanted in it  and how you were going to get there."

"I know," Jay said, "and I still want the things that I told you three weeks ago but I just don't know. you know? Like how am I supposed to get there and do those things when I am where I am."

"I think I have had enough deep life talk for the night." Mikey said, "I'm gonna head out."

"I should probably head out to , it is two in the morning." Daniel said

"alright." I said

"Bye guys, I'll see you tomorrow." Jay said

The boys got up and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind them. Leaving just me and Jay in her hotel room. She smiled at me from the spot on her bed.

"you know you're the cutest thing right?" I said

Her smile just widened.

"you know you're the sweetest right?" she said.

I moved places on the bed so that I was up by her.

"I did know that." I said

She just laughed and put her head in my chest before looking up at me and smiling.

"are you going to sleep in your clothes?" Jay asked

"oh we are sleeping tonight?" I questioned

"Well, yes that was the plan." Jay said

"I guess I don't usually sleep in clothes, but I think you just want to see me strip." I said

Jay laughed, "oh, yeah you caught me."

"I knew it." I responded getting up and playfully taking off my shirt.

"damn boy." Jay said, "has anyone ever told you that you should be a stripper? cause they lied."

I laughed at her comment, throwing my shit at her.

"I would be the best stripper." I said as I took off my pants

"yeah what ever, keep dreaming." she said.

"Are you gonna take off your clothes?" I asked, "You never sleep in a hoodie with a bra on." 

"Jokes on you, I haven't been wearing a bra all night." Jay said

I laughed as I climbed back into bed with her, adjusting ourselves in the position that we had been in before. The moment Jay laid her head on my chest she closed her eyes.

"are you going to fall asleep right now?" I asked

"It is two thirty in the morning."  Jay responded

"do you have a point?" I questioned

Jay just smiled and curled up closer to me.

"goodnight love." Jay said

"Goodnight baby girl." I said

I sat there playing with Jays hair, looking at the girl I loved to much. She had fallen asleep only a few minuets after she shut her eyes. I was awake for a little bit after she fell asleep, though I soon followed suit falling asleep as well.
