After 12 hours of pure hell. Cassie and I have finally landed.
"Welcome, welcome sister how does it feel to finally be on Korean soil?" Cassie asked.
"Ugh I'm just glad to be off that damn plane, I'm exhausted and hungry," I whined.
Cass chuckled, "Well come on there's a McDonalds' somewhere in here, get prepared to try your very first corn and shrimp burger." She said as she pulled me off the plane.
~~~~~~
What the hell Korea? What was going through your mind when you decided to put a corn and shrimp "burger" on your menu, I put quotes around burger because, that my friend, was no real burger, it was the sandwich of doom.
We were currently waiting at McDonald's awaiting the announcement of the plane unloading our luggage because apparently, they were having some technical difficulties.
"Why every time I fly somewhere, something always goes wrong with the luggage?" I complain.
"Hey, hey, hey now who are you and what have you done to my best friend?" Cassie asked seriously.
I gave her a questioning look.
"I mean where's your positivity and hope, don't think so negative remember you're in KOREA, you're going to one of the top film schools there and you may have the opportunity to meet some great people." She continued.
"I guess you're right, I don't know what's gotten into me, you're usually the unlucky and negative one." I chuckled jokingly.
"Haha, very funny." She laughed punching my arm.
That actually really hurt because she's so heavy-handed. Maybe as a side job, she can look into MMA fighting.
Suddenly through the airport speakers, it was announced that our luggage was finally being unloaded at gate 7.
I sighed. We were at gate 238. On the second level.
Yeah, this just happened to be the largest airport in the East.
"Well let's get going," Cassie sighed, "At least by the time we get there our luggage will be out and ready."
It took us 45 minutes to get across the airport!
And we ran.
I'll be honest after about a minute of running I needed to stop and take a break and let's just say that break turned into a little more, like 20 minutes!
"Look there's my bag!" Cassie squealed.
It happened to be the only bag left.
I frowned.
Cassie saw my face, "Hey calm down, maybe it still being loaded on." She shrugged.
I sighed, "Let's just go to customer service."
~~~~~~~~~
After a 2 hour wait in the customer service line, we finally get to the front.
"Next!" The lady shouted louder than necessary.
I approached the desk trying to contain how impatient I was.
"How may I help you?" The lady working asked smacking her gum loudly with a slight look of boredom.
"Um, I was just wondering what was going on with the luggage because it's been 3 hours since the plane has landed and been unloaded," I say quickly.
"Okay ma'am just sit over there and we will see what we can do." She pointed to the left rolling her eyes.
Who pissed in her Cheerios today?
I walk to where Cassie was sitting.
"So what did they say?" She asked.
"Man they said to wait, I guess they are gonna check the back or something for it."
After another 30 minutes of waiting the lady walked over to where we were sitting, but she didn't come alone.
A man who looked about 5'3 and 400 pounds with a pencil-thin lopsided mustache was with her.
"Hello, ma'am I am the manager of this airline," He said reaching out to shake my hand, which I reluctantly accepted.
His hands were very sweaty by the way.
"I'm terribly sorry to inform you that your bags were mistakenly sent to Alaska and on behalf of the rest of our workers we would like to apologize by giving you this $1000 gift card to buy whatever you need while we send for your luggage as soon as we can."
I stood there shocked for who knows how long before Cassie decided to pinch my ass.
"OW! Oh I mean thank you so much, It's totally fine I know mistakes happen, but this gift card is just too-"
Another pinch in the ass.
"I mean this gift card is well-appreciated thank you very much." I finished glaring at Cassie.
After giving them my contact information we bowed and parted ways.
Cassie looked at me, "We got an hour left to do whatever we want until you need to go to school, it's the perfect time to go shopping!" She squealed.
Yipee.
