Cassie and I ended up saying our goodbyes at the airport because she got called to fly to Japan for a business trip.
So I took a taxi to the school and decided to go shopping later.
The ride was long and awkward because the ajusshi wouldn't stop flirting with me and trying to get my number.
"No sorry I don't have a phone number yet." I shrugged.
"Kakao?"
He just won't stop.
"I'm sorry my Korean is really bad and I don't know what Kakao is." I lied.
I was thankful when we finally pulled up the school and I yelled to the cab, " Yo homes smell ya later!"
Okay not really but only because I'm not The Fresh Prince and this is not Bel Air.
It's more like he got irritated at me and dropped me off a whole block away but of course, I didn't know that until it was too late.
The building looked kind of small to be a University even a small division of it. I walk in a was immediately hit with the strong smell of cucumbers and melon. That should have been a hint right there that I was in the wrong place but I shook the feeling away.
Walking up to the front desk I greeted the lady sitting there. Time to put my new Korean skills to good use.
"Annyeong haseyo deunglog samusoneun eodi issseubnikka? " I asked confidently.
But all I got in response was a very confused looking old lady.
" Mwo?" She asked.
Aish, maybe my Korean isn't so good.
"No child your Korean was good, well enough for me to understand but I just want to know why you come into my spa asking for a registration office?" She chuckled obviously amused.
*Facepalm*
I don't know what to be more embarrassed by, the fact that I said aish, the fact that I thought out loud, or the fact that I didn't realize that this was a spa.
"I'm so sorry I had no idea, I'm so embarrassed I asked the ajusshi to drop me off at the University but I guess he tricked me and-"
"Omo you talk so fast little one." She interrupted.
I realized she was right because I was out of breath.
"If you want to get to the university as soon as you walk out of the shop you need to turn right, walk down 5th street turn right, walk past the Mcdonald's, then turn left and keep walking until you see the huge brick-red building." She explained to me slowly.
"Thanks so much, ahjumma." I bowed and left the jjimjilbang.
Turning left I walked all the way down 5th street as she said. Right? But where's McDonald's? I probably should have written her directions down, I think I got myself lost, great.
