(Y/n)'s POV
~Timeskip to evening after training~
Everyone had already gone back to their rooms, exhausted from training for three hours straight. But I wasn't as tired as them, since I only had to demonstrate for them before coaching them.
I had secretly snuck Lulu into Hwarang House so that I would have someone to talk to. Of course, I could hang out with Wi Hwa but sometimes, I didn't understand him and besides, we weren't that close.
Lulu growled softly before going to the lake to drink some of its water. I smiled and stroked her fur while looking at the stars. If only the world was filled with bright, sparkling beings but then, without darkness, there would be no light. *sigh*
No one's POV
The six men had gathered in the bushes near the lake. Honestly, it was only Ji Dwi that had wanted to see her but the others decided to tag along for they had nothing else to do. They had already rested for over an hour and had decided it was enough. After all, they would be getting a day off tomorrow.
"Yah, stop stepping on my feet," whispered Soo Ho.
"You're the one that stepped on me first," replied Ban Ryu.
"Oi, you three can go back. Why are you even here? You guys aren't close to (Y/n)," Sun Woo said.
"We're bored, so why not?" Yeo Wool replied while looking back at (Y/n).
"Noona is so cool! She even has a pet tiger!" exclaimed Hansung.
"Are you her fan or something? Every time you see her, you always say that she's cool," Soo Ho pointed out.
"That's because she is and I would like to become her best friend. Don't you think she seems lonely? Why do you think she befriends animals? In my eyes, she seems lonely and wants a friend," said Hansung.
What Hansung said may be true. Maybe that's why I always feel comfortable around her. I understand...what it's like to feel lonely without anyone being there for you, Ji Dwi thought to himself.
Suddenly, (Y/n) stood up and looked like she had sensed 'danger'.
"Lulu, go," she ordered.
Lulu obeyed without any hesitation and ran towards the men, stopping just before her paws grazed them.
(Y/n)'s POV
*sigh* That was what that strange danger I sensed was... Why were they even here? Were they stalking me by any chance?
"Yah, how long were you guys there for?"
"G-get this tiger away f-first," Yeo Wool stuttered.
"Lulu, come back."
She immediately ran back and stood protectively in front of me. I looked at the six people who had been 'stalking' me, expecting them to answer me.
"I was the one that wanted to see you. I don't know why the others followed me," exclaimed Ji Dwi.
"We were bored and were interested to see what dates between you and Ji Dwi were like," added Hansung.
"D-dates?"
"Yeah, you two are always together so we thought you two had a thing for each other," Sun Woo said with a smirk.
"Geez, we are not dating. Stop bullying me and go back."
"It's called teasing, okay? Teasing," Soo Ho mocked.
I glared at him before clicking my fingers. Lulu immediately jumped up towards him but stopped and just stared at him.
"Yah! Were you trying to get me killed?!" asked Soo Ho.
"Maybe."
The others just laughed.
~Some time later~
Ji Dwi had offered to go back to the forest with me to take Lulu back. I rubbed my hands together, trying to warm them up.
Lulu looked at me one last time before running off deep into the forest. I managed to smile a little before turning back.
Suddenly, Ji Dwi took my hand. *blush* His hands were warm and helped with the cold weather. I smiled to myself and continued to walk alongside him.
Ji Dwi's POV
Her hands were freezing. She'd catch a cold at this rate. I tugged at her hand so that she came closer to me.
"Ji Dwi?"
"You're really cold. Let's hurry up and go back before it gets worse."
"...thank you..."
I just smiled, but that didn't last for long. Mother was watching us...again. I glared at her before stepping into Hwarang House with (Y/n). Why did she watch us as if we were her prey? I didn't like that look in her eyes.
"Thanks for coming with me," exclaimed (Y/n).
"Get some sleep."
She smiled and nodded before heading inside her room. *sigh* I went back to my room, where everyone was waiting. Was it even worth it to stay up just to ask about my time with (Y/n)?
"So?" Yeo Wool asked.
"What?"
"Did you guys kiss? Wait...you wouldn't have gotten that far yet. What about hugs? Or holding hands?" asked Sun Woo.
"Go to sleep. We did nothing."
They all sighed before reluctantly going to bed. I walked towards mine and laid down.
(Y/n), I didn't know why but it felt like you were going to become very important to me. What was I supposed to do if you found out I was the king? What would you think of me?
"Hey Ji Dwi," Sun Woo called out.
"Yeah?"
"Soo Ho and Ban Ryu left the room to go see (Y/n)."
"Why?"
"They made a bet while you were gone. Since you didn't tell us anything, they're going to ask (Y/n)."
"And?"
"Oh, I was expecting more of a reaction since you seem like you have a thing for her," exclaimed Yeo Wool.
"*sigh* When will you guys learn how to stop imagining strange ideas?..."
