(Y/n)'s POV
~1 week later~
I couldn't believe it! The queen, herself, offered me a job! I mean, me! No one wanted to hire me, but the queen did! Where did I get such luck?...
"Yah, you look like you're about to drool with your mouth open like that. Hurry up and come in," exclaimed Wi Hwa.
"Oh, sorry."I ran inside, only to get my cheeks pulled and pinched by none other than Hansung.
"Stop it unless you want to die."
"Your cheeks are so squishy!"I smacked his hands away and continued walking. So my job was to train all these chaotic men? *sigh* They already tried to avoid me so how was I supposed to get them to obey me?!
"Oi, all of you idiots down there! Listen up!" yelled Wi Hwa.
I couldn't be bothered to listen to his speech so I headed towards my room, where I would be staying until their training was over. To be honest, I didn't want this to end. Going back to live with my father was obviously out of the question.
~Some time later~
"Excuse me?"
"What is it, Soo Ho?" asked Wi Hwa.
"Is that girl going to train us?"
"Yes, in fact I am going to train you. So you better stop whining."
"Tch, why are you training us? I can fight much better than you," he said with a smirk.
"Soo Ho, give it up. You'll have a chance of failing," Sun Woo pointed out. This caused some of the men to giggle and whisper amongst themselves.
"Yah, are you girls? Stop the giggling! Who wants to go first?"
"I will and I'll prove to you that you can't fight," Soo Ho exclaimed.
"Sure, go ahead and try."Hansung's POV
Whoa, (Y/n) noona was so cool! Well, I've always thought she was but stayed away from her so that grandfather wouldn't scold me.
She was using her two daggers instead of a sword. Hmm, did she not know how to wield a sword? Or was it because she had more experience with those daggers? I wonder what other weapons she could use. She still had the upper hand against Soo Ho. Well, that was until his sword and one of her daggers were knocked out of their hands.
"Tch, trying to cheat huh? You have an extra weapon," complained Soo Ho.
"Fine then, I won't use it," (Y/n) replied. She threw it to the side and got into a stance, showing that she was ready. Soo Ho charged at her, only to be stopped by Sun Woo.
"Do you actually want to hurt a girl? Just stop for now or else none of us are going to learn anything," said Sun Woo.
"Learn? She can't even use a sword, let alone her fists!" Soo Ho argued.
"Shut up and follow me, all of you. Get your horses, along with a bow and arrow," (Y/n) ordered.(Y/n)'s POV
"I'm sure all of you know how to use a bow and arrow, right?"
"Uhh...I haven't used them before," exclaimed Sun Woo.
"Same here," Ji Dwi added.
"*sigh* Go practise shooting at those targets. Ji Dwi, Sun Woo, follow me."We went back, where I had set up some extra targets just in case something like this happened.
I grabbed a bow and three arrows. All of them made it to the bullseye."Now you two try."
Sun Woo picked it up and shot but failed miserably. Ji Dwi tried to do the same, but couldn't hide his talent.
"Yah, why did you say you couldn't shoot?"
"Don't be so mean. I want to spend some time with you," he replied.
"Whatever. Practise shooting while I teach Sun Woo."I went over to Sun Woo and held up his arm to the right position.
"Straighten up your back."
Ji Dwi's POV
I couldn't practise while watching her help Sun Woo. Why did it feel as if I wanted to be the one that was with her?
Tch, I grabbed the bow and shot an arrow at the bullseye. After there were no more arrows, I had to go collect them. Well, I had to stop because Sun Woo almost made a hole in my foot.
"Yah, watch where you shoot."
"You should be aware of incoming arrows," he replied.
"Says the guy who can't even shoot at the target."
"Tch, show off."
"Stop it, you two! Sun Woo, keep practising. I'll go get Ah Ro for you since she might help motivate you."I grabbed all the arrows and continued to endlessly shoot arrows at the target till it was almost sunset.
~Some time later~
We were having dinner, but I wasn't feeling hungry. Well, more like I had lost my appetite.
"(Y/n), over here," Sun Woo called out.
She just smiled and shook her head before leaving quietly.
"Oi, why did you call her over? Who would want to sit with her?" asked Soo Ho.
"I don't mind sitting with her. She's cool," Hansung replied.
"I'd hate to admit it, but I actually agree with Soo Ho for once," Ban Ryu added.
"She doesn't seem that bad, does she?" asked Yeo Wool.
"...I have nothing to say," Soo Ho said.I stood up and walked outside. There was no point in sitting there, listening to their idle chatter.
I saw (Y/n) sitting by the pond with Wi Hwa, who was, strangely, fishing.
"Oh, hey Ji Dwi. You're finished?" (Y/n) asked.
"Yeah, I didn't feel like eating."
"Sorry Wi Hwa, I'll go hang out with him for a while."
"Yeah, okay."She stood up and took my hand, leading me to town. The walk there was peaceful until I saw my mother. She eyed me before glancing at (Y/n). I noticed her look down at our hands before leaving. What are you thinking...mother?
