JJ pov...

It's been a month since I came home from hospital. Em took a week off to help adjust to having a baby in the house but is now back at work. Emiline is starting to get into a routine will feeds and sleeping. She will still wake both Em and I up at different hours all through the night. Henry is a deep sleeper so he doesn't wake up most times which is good as one tired baby is enough at the moment. I am normally so tired by only a few hours of sleep at a time, I sleep when Emiline does and I'm not looking after Henry.

It's a change to be looking after a baby again after the years since Henry was so young and people were right about it being a big jump from one child to two but I don't want it any other way. I freaked out when I found out about being pregnant with her but I fell in love and am happy about the chance for a daughter.

I can tell that Henry loves having a baby sister, he is always seeing what he can do to help look after her. He wants to hold Emiline and give her a bottle when he can. Before I put Emiline down for bed at night Hen, Em and I take turns to read a story or sing a song to get her to sleep.

Emiline has just started to make gurgling, laughing and ahhing noises, she is also starting to lift her head and follow movements especially when someone walks past her. It's amazing to see how fast she changes with growing up.

My alarm goes off on my phone and look at it to see the time and it's almost finish time for Henry at school. I get my bags and put them in the car and Emiline in her carseat before driving to his school to pick Henry up. When the bell rings to signal school has ended for the day I make my way into his class with Emiline in my arms. He sees me and comes over to give me a hug and a kiss on the forehead to his baby sister.

We talk for a few minutes before he says "I want you to meet my new friend Jack, he just joined the class today"

I nod and we walk over to Jack where we talk for a few minutes before his dad comes so we say goodbye. I say a quick hello to his teacher so she can say hello to both Emiline and I before we say goodbye and head to the car.

Henry asks "can we go to work to see Aunt Emily and the others?"

I say "sure, Em is working late tonight"

I drive to the work building and we head inside. I walk past my desk and see a pile of gifts and cards that are waiting for me to come back. The team looks at me arrive and smiles before getting up to see me and the children. They take turns holding Emiline while we talk to catch up. Em comes down and says "this is a surprise"

I nod and say "yeah, Henry asked if we could come see you at work"

She turns to Henry and asks "is that right little guy?"

He nods before hugging her and saying "I missed you Aunt Em"

We talk for some more before Emiline starts getting fussy and will want feeding soon so we say goodbye. Henry says night to Em as he will be asleep before she comes home tonight. We grab our stuff before heading out and driving home.
