Brother comes to visit

Elena POV

The next day when I woke up I found Damon drinking some coffee and I went to have some cereal.

Damon: Good morning.

Elena: Good morning. Did you sleep well last night?

Damon: Elena I have been an ass and last night I thought about what you told me.

Elena: Really? and?...

Damon: I want us to be friends. Let's just start over and forget everything that happened. You are right, being an ass to other people isn't nice. So friends?....

Elena: Ok. But if you ever start being an ass again or screw up, our friendship is over.

That was really weird of Damon but I am glad he is changing for the better. It isn't bad to have our roommate as a friend and everything will be better no more arguing and I can live in peace. A few weeks passed by and Damon sometimes cooked dinner in the evening which was nice of him. We also did a timetable for chores which was helpful and everyone stuck to it.

We also talked a lot and became close friends. We also share jokes and laughs. I can see that Damon changed and he became a nice guy. I told Caroline and Bonnie about this and Bonnie has a theory that Damon has a crush on me but I deny it. He just wants to be friends. On the other hand Klaus and Caroline are happy in their relationship and they are in love with each other. On the weekends they are having dates. I also am helping Damon a bit with his homework when he has a difficulty.

Damon POV

Elena seemed surprised that I want to be friends with her but she accepted. That is another step to make her fall in love with me. I enjoy her company and she turned me into a better man. I never get bored spending time with her and this is the first time this happened. Usually I get bored of hanging out with the same girl. Today is a Saturday and my little brother Stefan has come to visit.

Elena knows that Stefan is coming today but now she is at Bonnie and Caroline's to study. Stefan is the only one who knows about my feelings for Elena. I didn't tell Klaus and Enzo yet because I have known Stefan all my life and I have met Enzo and Klaus this year besides I don't  want Klaus to go tell Caroline. She will for sure tell Elena.When Stefan arrived, we caught up on things. We chatted a bit and played some video games.

Stefan: So where is this Elena you talk about?

Damon: She is not here at the moment. Studying with friends. But you will meet her later do not worry.

Stefan: I can see that you changed since Elena became your roommate. This place used to be a lot messier. And I can see you are doing homework that is a BIG improvement. Why don't you tell her how you feel about her.

Damon: Nah she doesn't see me like that I can see how she looks at me. You are wrong Stefan. I have eyes you know!!

Stefan: What if you are wrong. All you need to do is pop up the question!

Damon: Not now Stefan maybe later in the year but I don't want to ruin the friendship I have with her. And for now it is better to remain friends I have only known her for 3 months.

Stefan: Maybe that is a better idea...

Damon: See Stef my ideas are way brilliant than yours.

Stefan: Oh really!

We began playfully hitting each other when someone opened the door and we found Elena standing at door.

Elena POV

Studying with Bonnie and Caroline was productive we asked each other a bunch of questions and I can see that we did some improvement at least. After getting bored of studying Bonnie decided to throw a pillow at me and we ended up having a pillow fight. Afterwards we decided that we studied enough so we went to grab lunch. After lunch I decided to go back to my dorm. I bid goodbye to the others and they started teasing me about Damon.

The also told me to use protection. They are so annoying. Ok I have to admit Damon is hot but I just want to be friends with him. A good guy friend can't a girl have a good guy friend!When I arrived home I see Damon playfully hitting and a guy I have never seen before. He had brown hair and green eyes. He also has the same skin tone as Damon.

They both looked at me.

Damon: Elena meet my little brother Stefan

Stefan: You are the famous Elena. Nice to met you. *shakes hands*

Elena: Oh so you are the brother Damon has been talking about. Thought you were an imaginary brother!

Damon: Hey!

Elena: I was joking!! But seriously you do not look alike not even a single bit.

Stefan: And even from the personality we are opposites. Expect that we like the same things.

Damon: Yeah

We talked a bit and Stefan and I got along. He was an amazing guy. We also started to tease Damon which was really fun and Damon started tickling me for doing that. Stefan had some picture of Damon when he was still living at home and he decided to show them to me. Damon was embarrassed but I didn't care cause I still wanted to see how Damon looked like in his early teenage years.

In the evening we decided to go for dinner at a Mexican place. The food was delicious. Afterwards Stefan decided to stay for the night and he goes home the next day because he was too tired to drive . He is 2 years younger than Damon so he just got his driving license and his parents gave him a car for his birthday. Afterwards we watched a movie and went to sleep.

Damon POV
Elena went to sleep however Stefan and I continued playing some video games.

Before we went to go to sleep, Stefan told me that Elena was a keeper and that I should confess to her before somebody does before me. But I am going to stick to my plan. I hope that as time goes by she likes me.
