Christmas Day

Christmas Day came around. Bonnie and Caroline left on Christmas Eve however I had a lot of essays so I decided to leave on Christmas Day and arrive just in time for dinner. I just finished packing and thankfully I finished them on time. Damon had already packed before me and so he checked the we turned everything off. 

Suddenly I received a phone call telling me that my flight was cancelled due to a huge snowstorm and there will be no flights today. Guess who was stuck at college why do I have such bad luck. Guess I have to go home tomorrow! I am not spending Christmas with my family after all. I finished my call and told Damon about my misfortune. 

Elena: My flight has been cancelled due to a snowstorm. I have to stay here tonight and go  home tomorrow. I was so excited to see my family even my younger brother Jeremy! 

Damon: Well my flight has been cancelled as well! Let's just spend Christmas together instead! We could do some amazing things. Besides we will spend our first Christmas together! 

Damon came and hugged me. I was really sad that I won't spend Christmas with my family and I have been dying to see them but I will spend it with Damon. He actually cheered me up a bit, he always does that. I am so grateful I have him. 

Damon: I have a surprise for you!

Elena: What is it?!

Damon: Well I was going to give it to you at the airport but things didn't go out they way we expected. 

Elena: Well speaking about surprises I have one as well!

*after both of them went to grab their presents*

Damon: Well who will go first?

Elena: Let me start!

Damon: Sure!

I told him to close his eyes and open his hands. I put the present on his palm and when he opened his eyes and opened the present his eyes were going to pop out. 

Damon: It smells so nice it! It is one of my favorite fragrances! *hugs Elena* Wait.... 

Elena: What?

Damon: How did I not notice?

Elena: Well remember I told you that I went to find a present for my mum!

Damon: Yes?.....

Elena: Well it was actually for you!

Damon: That is why you were acting so weird!! Thank you so much!! My turn.

When I opened his present I found a silver necklace with my name on it. It was so beautiful!

Elena: OMG this amazing! *hugs him*

He had a sweet smell of vanilla and aftershave.

Damon: Do you want to wear it?

Elena: Yes please! 

Damon: Let me put it on you.

Afterwards my phone started ringing and it was my mum face timing. I told her the whole story and I will arrive tomorrow. We talked for a bit and in the meantime Damon called his parents informing them about the situation. When he ended the call he put the luggage in the corner for tomorrow. 

Afterwards we lit the fireplace and Damon decided to cook some pasta because we were starving. Thankfully we had the ingredients needed to make pasta. In the meantime I put on some Christmas songs and turned  the Christmas tree's light on. I decided to help Damon cook.

Elena: Anything I can do to help?

Damon: Help me make the sauce.

We made the sauce and after the pasta finished boiling I put on a Christmas Movie which was Elf. We ate the pasta and put on a blanket over us. After eating we cleared everything and continued watching the movie. I was still feeling cold and Damon realised this and cuddled with me.

Damon: Feeling better?

Elena: Yeah thanks!

Suddenly it started snowing outside. We put on some jackets and boots to keep warm and went outside in the park. We immediately started playing with the snow. We did snow angels and did a snowman as well. However Damon wanted to be sneaky and threw a snowball at me. It hit my face and I started running after Damon throwing snowballs at him. However instead of hitting him I hit an old man. I excused myself and Damon tackled me and fell on me.

I stared into his blue eyes which I got lost in and kissed him. I KISSED DAMON. OMG... He replied by kissing me back. Well my heart just gave in. After kissing for a while he grabbed my hand to stand up. I started walking back to the dorm but I haven't even had crossed the street when Damon grabbed my wrist.

Damon: Elena look at me.

Elena: Look Damon I have been falling for you ok. I just gave in. No I am not joking about this. These are my true feelings for you. 

Instantly Damon kissed me again.

Damon: I am glad. I have been falling for you. And that is why I changed because you are amazing and I can ever ask for someone better than you. So you want to be more than friends huh?

Elena: What do you think?

Damon: I take that as yes! I can't believe I am living with my girlfriend already.

We intertwined our hands and went inside the dorm. We spent the night cuddling and having our first night together as a couple. I am glad the flight was cancelled after all.
