Thanks to Angel for the idea. Thanks to CharlieDarlie for helping me and hearing my ideas. Thanks to all.
Dave Strider, was an angel. somehow, throughout all the sins he had committed as a mortal, he still got his grace. The boy dont have much memory of what it was like to be human. Small flashes. You know they say that only angels can remember good things about themselves and often forget their sins. As far as Dave knew, he was a Saint. The Saint. An angel who was at the moment on earth, on a hunting trip for a certain trouble-maker.
A demon known as John Egbert. A Trickster. Often playing tricks on mortals. Dave has been hunting this troublesome demon for awhile now. Often finding a false trail, always failing to notice when something was a trap.
Dave, even though he was an angel, had bright fiery red eyes. Ones that a demon would have. Many older angels told him it was because he sinned, yet he was still accepted for how well he improved himself later in the years. Dave had red eyes before he was even an angel. Almost white blonde hair was neatly on his head. The clothing he often wore was a black business suit. The boy was 25 before he heard God’s calling. Chasing after it and finally claiming onto his grace.Dave had paid for an apartment. It was slightly familiar to him. There were two rooms that seemed as if they belong to two brothers. The one with white walls and turntables probably belong to a younger one. Dave liked it more than the other one. He was currently sleeping in the bed just for fun, not because he was tired. The white blanket with quadrants all over it covered most of his half naked body. It was hot even for him and made it uncomfortable for him. The red eyes suddenly fluttered open. He sat up and looked at the boy in front of him.
It was the blasted trickster. The demon who has set traps all over the place. The raven-hair boy was floating above Dave with a dorky smile on his face. His voice rang out.
“Hello Dave! I see you been following my trail for awhile, I hope you enjoy my traps as much as I enjoyed setting them up.” John knew the angel’s name easily and Dave had to think to remember other’s name.
“Uh..Yeah.” Dave was tense. His eyes scan for anything to use as a weapon. Possibly salt or maybe a cross. The blonde haired boy reached up to his neck, feeling for the cross that he wears. It wasnt there. His bright red eyes widen. Dave had no way to fight the other. He could say god’s name in latin but...Something felt odd about the whole thing. Almost dream-like. Dave KNEW he had the cross on before passing out. The room was impossible for a demon to enter. But then how had this one slip through and got in?
John’s smile widen on his tan face, holding out the necklace by the chain,”Are you looking for this?” There was slight smoke around his hands. He threw it up in the air and caught the cross in his hands, crushing it as more smoke rises to the ceiling of the room. Dave could only stare in horror, trying not to show off weak even though he knew the other had him right where John wanted him.
The boy’s cold blue eyes scanned down Dave’s terrified face,”You know, in your dreams, you can't conceal how you feel.”
Dave shook his head at John,”How the hell did a demon invade my dreams? I thought I warded the crap out of this apartment!” The other wasn’t really paying attention. He was playing with something he found in Dave’s room. Tossing it from hand to hand as Dave yelled at him more, leaving John just to laugh lightly. The thing he was tossing happen to be an item Dave was quite fond of, a smuppet. It reminded him of something but he didn’t know what it was. He felt connected to it.
Suddenly John catches it ablaze. Dave was quick to act, springing out of his bed and tackling John to the ground along with the item that he quickly stepped on, trying to put out the flames. When he did, it was burnt and crispy and extremely dirty. Dave stuck his nose up in the air at John who was laughing his head off.
“Oh my godd!!! I cant believe you just ahaha.” John was holding his own sides as he was floating up in the air, his eyes were sealed shut,”You, my friend, are gonna lead to your own demise. Mind taking me down with you, Dave? I always wanted to have a friend with me down there. It gets lonely when it just demons. Preferably a best friend.”
It was Dave’s turn to raise his eyebrows, tilting his head to the side,”Best friend? I dont have one and I don’t want one. They lead to bad things often making others sin pulling the ‘you are my best friend!’ bullshit card.”
“Wow Dave, God really wiped your mind of everything even something that isn’t even a sin! Guess he didn’t want you to know how chummy you was with a now soul eater.” John was still wearing the smirk on his face, even daring to lean in towards Dave, widening his eyes.
“Face it, you are not as good as you were lead on to believe.” With that John blew into Dave’s face, who flinched. Leaving the silly demon just to let out another hoot.
