"Shiro, why are you so keen on freeing these prisoners?" Allura asked me, "You seem much more rushed about this mission than the last ones."

"Yeah, its like you have something personal with these prisoners," Hunk commented. I hadn't told them about (Y/N). I never knew how, and didn't think I needed to. I was starting to change my mind.

"What if he has a girlfriend?" Lance said, more so as a joke. I tensed up at that. I wasn't really sure what (Y/N) was to me. All I knew is that she needed to be free from the Galra. That she needed to be by my side.

"He was being held prisoner,"Keith started an argument with Lance. "He wouldn't have been able to get a girlfriend." None of us wanted to experience another one of their fights.

"We are arriving," Allura interrupted before the fight could go anywhere, "Paladins, get to your liones."

The plan was going smoothly, which was rare with this team. Pidge was escorting the prisoners back to our liones as I checked to make sure there were none left. More specifically, that we got (Y/N). Our cells had been separated than the rest. I easily found them from memory.

I saw the two doors, which stood across the hall from eachother. Both contaoning a barked window, which we would talk through for hours. Eachothers voice being our only comfort. It was strange to feel a sense of nestalga in a place like that.  I got a little scared, since I could hear her. She wasn't telling a story. She always filled the emptiness with words. With the silence I could only think she wasn't there. I hoped I was wrong.

I opened the door, the same way I opned all the others. What I found onside shocked me. I had never seen inside her cell, but I could only assume how horrified it could be. I was terribly mistaken. On the back wall was four sets of chain, which would have been used to restrain her. The walls and floor were a rusty red from died blood. One of the walls was covered with tallies, and they were leaking onto another. The lights, unlike the other cells, seemed none existant. Luckily I saw it.

There in the corner, was a black mass. After letting my eyes adjust, I saw it was a person. No, it was (Y/N). She was just staring at the ceiling, not even aware I was there. Her face, with I could only ever imagine with a smile, was emotionless. As were her eyes. They reminded me of the eyes of a captive animal. Which was all that the Galra saw her as. "(Y/N)," I said, gaining her attention.

Her gaze shifting over to me. Her expression barely changed, but it showed signs that she was in disbelief. "Shiro...?" she responded, and tried standing up.

I came over and reached down to help her. "We're going to get you out of here," I told her. I reached out, prepaid to carry her of need be. She just used the wall to regain her balance, and refused my help.

"Then lead the way," she said, her voice void of any joy. Any happiness. Any emotion. I was scared they finally got to her. I left the cell with her by my side.

"Shiro, where are you, we should be leavong soon," Pidge said through my helmet. She must be worried about what was taking me so long.

"I'm head back now," I told her, so she wouldn't need to worry. Footsteps echoed through the hall. (Y/N) and I both tensed up, I pulled her behind me with my left arm and was prepared to fight. Two sentries appeared around the corner. Before I could do anything (Y/N) had jumped down onto of one, and kicked the other into the wall. Small bursts of light zapping out of the exposed wires.

I knew she could fight, I was more surprised she was still able to. We contonued on our way. I couldn't help but glance back at every now any then. Her stare was glued to something far infront of us, as if she wasn't even there. Her walking was unsteady, only able to put all her weight on her right leg. She was limping, but her face never showed any pain. She was limping, not because of pain, but because of her body's inability of walking correctly.

She was closer to dead than alive. It was a miracle she was even standing. "Hurry up Shiro," Keith said through the helmet. I heard their was fighting on the other side. I couldn't make (Y/N) run, but I needed to get back to my lion.

"Sorry," I told her as I picked her up. She didn't say anything. No complaint. No witty remark. No terrible joke that would make me regret every knowing her.  She just looked forward as I ran.

"Stop," she said quickly. I didn't listen to her. I was running through a intersection when two sentries came from the other hall. They both just froze and fell to the grond with sparks coming from their joints. I didn't know what caysed it, but I just continued to run.

I didn't notice until I got back to Black that (Y/N) had lost consciousness. I check her pulse. It wad faint, but still there. "Let's get back to the castle," I told thr others as I flew out of the bunker. "Alura can you get a healing pod ready?"

"What why?" Keith wondered, they all seemed worried. They must have assumed I got hurt.

"I got a friend who needs one," I told them, galncing back at my life line. She was finally free.

"Oh, who owe me your desert Hunk," Lance yelled. I was not sure what that was about. When I was back in the cadtle I picked up (Y/N) and ran her to a healong pod. Everyone had joined me in the room, questioning me of the girl.
