"Shiro!" Pidge called for me from down the hall. I was frightened. (Y/N) had went withherandodige to the hanger to work on her leg. It was nice that she was getting along with the other members in the team, but it puts me in edge without knowing she's alright. So Pidge frantic calling made me assume the worst.
My assumptions were put to rest by the sight of Hunk running along side Pidge with (Y/N) on his back. They all had wide smiles, (Y/N) included. I couldn't remeber the last time we saw that, if I had ever. "Shiro we need you for something," Pidge started.
"Well more your arm, but it's attached, so we need all of ya," Hunk continued.
"It shouldn't take too long," (Y/N) assured me with pleading (e/c) eyes. I couldn't say not o her, and I had nothing better to do. I followed them back down the the hanger, expecting they needed some manual labor of some sort. Instead they sat me down whole (Y/N) held my robotic hand and drew something.
It was a bit awkward, as it seemed not to bother her in the slightest. "So are you doing it?" Hunk came up and asked her. (Y/N) gave a smile nod, whatever she was doing she was focusing hard. "But you're eyes aren't glowing, or anything cool..."
(Y/N)'s attention quickly shifted away from whatever held it before. "Well it's not really slmething I activate, it's just always there, like the beating of my heart or thoughts buzzing in my head. It's sorta like a highly developed sixth sense."
"Oh," Hunk sighed, a bit disappointed I t he explanation, "But you can flicker lights and stuff, right?"
"That is so dememaial Hunk. Energy is far beyond just electricity," Pidge scolded the poor guy.
A small smile flickered onto the sweet girl's face. "Actually more often then not..." (Y/N) confessed, much to Pidge's embarrassment and Hunk's excitement. The Artesian went back to whatever task involved holding my hand.
I finally got around to asking, "What are you doing?"
(Y/N) didn't even bother looking up from whatever she was maticulously sketching. "I'm making a diagram of your arm..." she explained blandly, "I should almost be done..." Most of her attention was going into he task.
Pidge took the opertunity to explain better. "With her ability to manipulate and sense energy she can figure out the inner workings of your arm without needing to dismantle it," she explained with pride.
Hunk was quick to join in. "Then were gonna take that and put it ibot her leg, so it's more than just a leg." Both Paladins were excited about the idea.
I looked to the Artesian to see how they were taking this. There was a small smile playing on her lips. She was at least happy about the idea, that's what was all that mattered. "Done," she soon declared, holding up the diagram, which showed everything in detail and labels. The two rushed over to take it from her and studied it. She quickly noticed her hand was still in mine and was quick to take it away.
"This shows everything," Hunk praised, "Have you made blueprints before?"
All the attention was brother to the (h/c) haired girl as her gazed at her hands in her lap. "I don't know," she reminded us all, turing the mood sour.
Pidge was quick to change to topic. "We still need to get supplies, so you know what that means..." A trip to space mall. (Y/N) and I tagged along, as neither rof us had been there before. I was surprised to find it was just like malls back on Earth. (Y/N) on the other hand looked confused and uncomfortable. It didn't help she caught people's attention for moving around in crutches. I'm sure with how high tech everything is, crutches are obsolete.
"How about (Y/N) and I go get her some close while you two get what you need," I offered. She couldn't have been enjoying borrowing Alura's clothes, and would need to get her own at some point. The only who seemed to be against the idea was (Y/N) herself.
I wouldn't have any of that and had her come with me to the nearest clothing store. Much to our surprise they sold clothing that looked to be able to fit humans. I just let (Y/N) sear having no idea what she would like. She just suddenly froze. "I don't know what size I am..." she confessed, letting the article of clothing fall through her fingers.
I gave her an assuring smile, not wanting her to feel out in public. "Just grab a few sizes around where you think you would be and you can try them on. We are in no rush." She nodded lowly and picked out some pants that looked to be like jeans, or something similar. Every now and then I saw her glancing off. Following where her eyes went I noticed it was always to this jacket. It looked like a shinier leather jacket in a shade of dark (f/c). Just by how often she looked t it I could tell she wanted it.
"You can get anything you want," I assured her, not wanting to force her into anything. She gave a small nodd before making her way to the dressing rooms. Once she found her size she was quick to pick things out, getting two pairs of pants, three shirts, underwear, and a pair of shoes, but no jacket. She was at check out and I quickly went over and got the jacket she'd been eyeing the entire time we've been there. She looked at me with surprise and worry as I hmadded it to the pile of clothing.
"I didn't need the jacket," she finally spoke as we were going to meet up with Pidge and Hunk, who's till had yet to finish shopping.
"But you wanted it," I told her with a smile. I fished it out of the bag I was carrying and held it up to hell her get into it. She gave a smile smile before letting me out it in her.
