Episode: Season 6 - Two and A Half Men Pt. 2
After that, Dean and I stayed with the baby...until the shapeshifter turned up to retrieve him. We stopped him before he could that time but in the end, he did take the baby back from us. Dean was gathering up his stuff from the hotel room after that, Sam helping him as I sat in the car waiting. I sighed, biting my lip. I liked this life - the hunting life.
I'd never tell Dean though - I know what he'd say. He'd say it wasn't what he wanted for me. But I couldn't shake it. Suddenly, Dean's phone went off from up front where he'd left it on the console and I grabbed it, glancing at the screen. But when I read off the name, I felt my blood run cold. In bold letters, it read: Lisa Braeden.
I sat back in my seat, stunned as it rang and rang. Finally, it stopped and I realized there were tears pricking my eyes. He had her number? We'd been living across from her for a while now and he had failed to tell me he had her number? But why? Why would he...
My thoughts trailed off then and I thought back to the barbecue - how she had flirted with him and he had just shrugged it off like it was nothing. Did he...did he still have feelings for her? Had they been seeing each other without my knowledge? Suddenly, I heard footsteps and I climbed out of the backseat to come face-to-face with Dean. He smiled down at me, gesturing to the bags that he had begun throwing in the trunk of the car.
"I'm almost re-" he started to say, falling short when he saw my expression, "What's wrong?"
Wordlessly, I held up his phone, the screen flashing the words "One missed call from Lisa Braeden" across it. He paled, eyes meeting mine.
"Care to explain why Lisa is calling you? Or better yet, how she has your number in the first place?" I asked him calmly, a dangerous edge to my voice.
His hands slid from the trunk, letting it fall closed with a click.
"Parker, I-" he started but I just shook my head.
"No. No, I don't want to hear what you have to say if it's just excuses. I want the truth, Dean," I spat, brown eyes hardening.
Slowly, he let out a sigh and glanced down at his shoes. Silence ensued between us and I felt my heart break with every passing second.
"She gave it to me when she first moved here," he admitted and I gaped at him.
"What?" I breathed, feeling as if my world was spinning.
"She wanted to keep in touch, she said..."
"So you have? You've been talking to her this whole time? Seeing her?"
He glanced up at me then, green eyes full of shame.
"No, it's not like that. Not-not seeing her like that. I go over to her house, we talk, I ask her about Ben..." he told me, biting his lip as he trailed off.
"Then why didn't you just tell me?" I asked him quietly, feeling the tears start to trickle down my cheeks,"Do you still have feelings for her?"
He glanced up at me, tears in his eyes and with that one look, it confirmed it all for me. Dean hung his head in shame and I let out a small, strangled cry as I pressed my back against the car.
"I don't know what I feel for her, Parker... I just know that I do..."
And with those few words, my world began to shake, splitting apart at the seams.
