Lucy gave her thoughts on girls that were shipped with Laxus,  but she also shipped him with one guy, Freed. She never really shared this thought with anybody but imagined that others have thought about it too. She always felt that Freed would swing that way. She was just imagining him being held in  Laxus' arms. Freed's face flushed as he gets covered in Laxus' jacket while Laxus looks away with a slight blush grazing his face. She always felt like he had the ambition to follow Laxus. Now Lucy, there was something that she didn't know. Even after reading thousands of romantic novels and wanting an experience herself, she was missing the one that was right under her nose.

It started when Freed did something for one of his friends. He threw the fight of becoming an S- Class wizard since he felt like he owed Cana and Lucy, plus he had the confidence of getting it the next competition. Throughout the fight, he was looking at Lucy. He noticed how she fought and the way that her body moved. He saw when she put the key in the potentially dangerous water that Cana had summon. He then started to take interest in her, she wasn't even risking it for herself. A smart girl that can come up with strategies and is risky. His heart did beat but it wasn't because of the girls in bikinis. Even after trying to convince them that it was his weakness, it was only working from one girl but she was too busy winning for her friend.

He would hear about the adventures she would go to and how she did on missions. His heart sank every time he heard of the dangerous she was in, but proud that she came home safe. He would space out while looking at her at the guild. He always felt like he should have gotten closer to her but  he liked Fairy Tail and he felt like he knew his stance and didn't want to get out of that.

He just always admired, but what if he had the chance to talk to her? He had found something that would make her day, her week, her life.  It was finally his moment. Just thinking of the happiness it could bring her, multiple situations crossed his mind.
