Natsu walked right to the request board. He wanted to find a job that Lucy and him could do. She kept hanging out with her friends and he wanted some alone time with her to talk more. He found one a few towns over in which they just have to capture bandits along a road.

"Mira! I want this job." Mira looked at him and asked, "Are you going on a solo mission?" She was about to accept it until he said, "No, I'm going to invite Lucy," ending it with a toothy grin.

"Lucy?" Mira questioned him just to make sure that she heard right. He nodded. "Natsu, Lucy just left for a job." Natsu's eyes widen. "With who?" He said with a little growl. "Herself... she also wanted me to give you this," Mira informed the Dragon Slayer.

He ripped it open and the first thing he did was give it to Mira because of the bold letters. Mira looked at it and read it to herself. She didn't know how to tell him. Mira's eyes watered and she hugged Natsu. He was going to questioned her actions but she whispered, "she, she wants to break up..." Natsu's heart was breaking. He was shaking, he was visibly shaking. He didn't know what to do. He clenched his fist and his hair covered his eyes. Mira let go and as soon as she did, he ran off.

Natsu ran out as soon as Freed came in. "What... happened?" He said getting closer to Mirajane. "Lucy broke up with him," a voice from behind him answered. Laxus heard the conversation. "She wrote a letter and left on a mission." Mira added.

Lucy had arrived to the castle. She met with the princess and gave her gratitude. The princess waved her off saying, "it's the least of what I could do for saving the kingdom." They talk until the prince of the neighboring kingdom was ready to go. Lucy went with him, playing games and having Loke stay alert of any danger that may come. The prince was taking his shopping home and didn't want to lose the presents he just recieved. The sun was setting once they made it to their destination and everything was unpacked. Lucy got her reward and the prince also gave her a gift. An ancient stone. She happily accepted it and hopped back onto the carriage.

On the way back, she was looking at the stars, and she suddenly blacked out. They woke her up once she reached the castle. Only to find out that something weird has happened. When she was greeted by the princess she looked as if she was captured and in fear.

"Don't take me back," was the first thing she said. The princess was confused upon hearing this. "You don't want to go back?" "I don't want to go back to my dad, please just let me." "Lucy, are you alright?"

She nodded. The princess wasn't convinced, "You do remember that your dad is dead right?" Lucy looked at her with wide eyes, no tears. "He's what? When?"

"Lucy, what's the last thing you remember?" A guard asked her. "Running away from the estate..." "Do you remember the Grand Magic Games?" Lucy felt a headache coming when asked that, " I, I don't," she answered while putting her hands on her head. "Your insignia, it's gone?"

"Maybe she can summon her spirits?" Someone suggested. Lucy grabbed her keys, "when, when did I have this many?" Upon looking at her keys, her vision got blurry and she fell to the ground.

"Call Sabertooth, I don't think she could go back to Fairy Tail for awhile. Inform both guilds masters. Tell them she can't see Fairy Tail members, it may hurt her too much." The princess informed her knights. "Oh, and someone get her to a room."

The next morning, Lucy saw a figure next to her in bed. She got up quickly thinking that she may have been brought back. She wasn't, she sighed in relief. Once she saw the guy next to her, she had a slight blush. He was cute and shirtless. She let a little moan of pain out, but it was enough to wake the guy up.

"Are you okay?" He asked her. She was taken a back, "Sting." She remembered his name.  "How, how come you remember me?" He asked confused, they told him she wouldn't.

"I don't, I don't know." She answered with her face heating up. He snickered at her reaction, "Oh, did you fall in love with me now?" He said giggling. Lucy stayed quiet. When Sting stopped and laughing and took a look at her, he turned red. He always thought that she was pretty, but his first impression was horrible.

"Just get ready." Sting told her looking away. "For what?" Lucy asked. "I'm taking you to my guild." Lucy's eyes were now sparkling, " You promise!" She yelped, "I always wanted to be part of a guild." She was excited and just put shoes on to go. "What do you mean? You have-" Sting was cut off by her pulling him to hurry and go. He couldn't finish his sentence, he saw her hand, it wasn't there anymore.

He asked that their new healer was ready, he didn't want her getting a headache.

They made it to Sabertooth after Lucy accepted that only Sting knew the way. After pointing out that this is the way, when Lucy barely made it out of the castle. Sting told her to wait outside and brought out a dude.
"This is one of Sabertooth's new members and he is going to help you not get headaches." Lucy greeted the stranger.

"Ready?" He asked. "Yes," she responded.

One by one she meet the members again. She went through it okay, both Sting and Yaro (the healer) were by her side. After meeting everyone, Lucy turned to Sting, "So, can I join?"

"What?!" Anybody within hearing shot said. Sting looked at her, he grabbed her hands, and with a look of guilt and happiness in his mind he told her, "are you sure?" She nodded, Sting sighed with a smile, "you can join... if that's what you really want" Lucy was happy and gave Sting a hug. People started to talk and Sting gave them a death glare.

They went to get the stamp and he asked her, "where and what colour?" She closed her eyes, and smiled. She touched her heart, "I want it on my chest and," she looked into his eyes, "dark blue." Upon hearing that, Sting blushed. "Okay," he responded while gulping. He put her mark where she wanted it.

She looked into his eyes and smiled, "it's the perfect shade." They got closer to each other, they were about to kiss when a voice and a jolt stopped them from doing so.
