Chapter twenty - First lesson

Sup people on wattpad! Well... My first chapter on Key to my Heart ^~^ I'm really nervous updating this for the first time... Well, enjoy reading I guess :]

Ryan P.o.v.

"Ryan...?"

I groan and turn over. Who dares to disturb me if I'm sleeping. If my mom would hear one of the butlers call me Ryan she would fire him immediately.

"Ryaaaan? Wake up..."

I feel someone poke my head. I growl at the person.

"Foxy get up..."

I freeze... Foxy? Carefully I peek around. Only forest as far as I can look. So it wasn't a dream... Gray sits next to me on the ground. He gives me a little smile.

"You can sleep for pretty long you know? I carried you for 15 minutes and when I put you down you slept 50 more..."

Gray gets up and wipes some of the dirt from his baggy jeans. I succeed to get up too and stretch out.

"Well..." Gray sighs and places his hands behind his head. "We can almost start our training."

My ears go down at the word training. It sounds like a lot of work and I never really liked sports...

"But first!" He turns around and searches for something lying on the ground. Curiously I peek over his shoulder. Before I could see what he got he put it behind his back. A smirk is strecthed out over his face."Surprise!" He holds a gray collar decorated with a few dark green stones in front of me. I sniffle at it, because there isn't really more to do as fox.

"It's a special collar, it shows that we are bonded from now on. I'm pretty much a mentor of you now and will train you and take care." He says with a little smile.

"I hope you don't mind Foxy." He ruffles trough the hair on my head. Gray looks like a pretty cool guy. He puts the collar around my neck and makes sure it's tight enough so it wont fall off. I see the green stones sparkle a little.

"Do you like it?" I nod staring at the collar. I must admit, I actually like it! It fits me. Gray is better than all the maids and butlers in my castle in picking out things for me. It's not too fancy but still cool! I see Gray searching something again. He gets another collar. This one is dark green with grey stones. The color of it fits his green and gray eyes. He puts it on himself only a bit looser. The gray stones shine just like the green did.

"Well, now we're bonded!" He smiles brightly. "Let's start the training." I think I saw his eyes twinkle a bit, but that's probably my imagination.

"First step is your tactic little fellow."

He kneels down and searches around. He picks up a thin and long stick. With a fast move he pokes it in my side what makes me jump back. He does it again, and again. I want to shout he needs to stop, but only give some growls and squeaks.

"First lesson, defending yourself and dodging attacks from your foe."

I'm able to dodge his next poke with the stick, but he pokes me in the other side with his fingers and chuckles.

"It's not that easy, you need to become good in thinking of a strategy and be very fast. Otherwise every hunter searching for fox fur has you killed by an single arrow immediately." I shiver at the thought. "I see you understand a arrow in your stomach isn't what you want. Hm... Maybe we need to work on your speed first. Just try to run to me."

Gray gets a bit further away. I'm still not totally used to my shortened muscles but I get the idea how to walk now.

"Okay, start!"
