Chapter 5- Young Love

I woke up at 9:00 and ran to clean mine and Gavin's room. I took a shower and combed my hair into another quiff. I really want to impress Lilly.

"Hey Beckett! You ready for your lady friend?" Dad said.

"Ugh!" I groaned.

I ate breakfast and watched some tv.

Soon the doorbell rang. I ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I fixed my hair, sprayed some axe on and fixed my shirt and went to answer.

"Hey, Lilly! What's up?" I said, letting her in.

"Nothin! Wow! Your house is HUGE! I've only ever seen it on YouTube!" Lilly said.

"Hello!" Dad said walking in.

"Hi, I'm Lilly! I go to school with Beckett. We're friends!" She said.

"Hi! I'm Shay! And you already know that! Beckett told me you watch the vlogs!" Dad said.

"Yup! Everyday since day one!" She said.

"Awesome! I'll leave you too kids alone!" Dad said going upstairs.

"So, you wanna go to my room?" I said.

"Sure! Lets go!" She said.

We went in and sat on my bed. Gavin and I had gotten a tv when Brock moved upstairs.

"You wanna watch a movie?" I asked.

"Sure! What do you have?" Lilly replied.

"Anything from Toy Story to When In Rome!" I said. She laughed.

"Hey, have you seen the Fault In Our Stars?" She asked.

"Seen it? I have the movie!" I said.

"Really? It hasn't even come out on DVD yet!" Lilly said.

"My dad is good friends with John Green himself! That why we have it!" I laughed.

"BECKETT CAN WE WATCH IT?" Lilly smiled.

"Sure!" I said.

Gavin has the top bunk so we sat against the wall on my bunk and watched the movie.

I went and got some popcorn halfway through.

When it was done, we went out and saw Avia, Brock and Emmi playing Barbies.

"We should take Emmi, Avia and Brock to the park!" I said. Lilly was just staring.

"These are the Shaytards!" She said, with a big smile.

"Lilly, I'm a Shaytard too!" I laughed.

"Sure! Lets take these cuties to the park!" Lilly smiled.

"Hey Brocky-o! Loofus! Avia-Bear! You guys want to go to the park?" I asked.

"YA!" They all screamed.

"What about Gavin?" Lilly asked.

"He's at Water Polo." I said.

"Ok! Let's Go!" She said.

I got my blue vans on and helped Brock tie his new Batman running shoes.

We picked Brock up and carried him to the park. On the way there we saw Uncle Logan, who was on a run.

"Hey kids!" He said.

"Hey Logan! I'm Lilly." She said.

"Hey Lilly!" Logan said.

"WE GOIN TO THE PARK!" Brock screamed in my ear. I was giving him a piggy back ride.

"Have fun at the park!" Logan said and ran off.

We got to the park and let the little kids go and play. Lilly and I sat on the bench.

"So, how are you liking grade 8?" Lilly asked.

"Eh, it's school." I laughed. Lilly giggled. I forgot to mention, Lilly has long light brown hair and the cutest hazel eyes.

I pulled out my phone. Isaiah had texted me a few times.

Isaiah- Dude! Where are You?

Isaiah- Bro! I have an emergency!

Isaiah- Beckett! Call me!

"Hey Lilly, I gotta call Isaiah, you should go play with Emmi and Avia, they would love it!" I said.

I walked over to the slide and sat down.

I called Isaiah's phone. He answered.

"Dude! Where have you been?" Isaiah said.

"Lilly's over! I was hanging out with her." I said.

"Well, I have been trying to call you all morning!" Isaiah said.

"What is the emergency?" I said.

"There's a new kid coming. His name is Robbie. Not good Beckett, not good." Isaiah said.

"What do you mean, Not Good?" I asked.

"Well, for starters, my cousin knows him and he is a HUGE bully. He picks on everyone. Beckett, we don't have a chance." Isaiah warned.

"We have Connor J on our side!" I said.

"That won't do us much. He even picked on my cousin, Nicky, Nicky is the coolest and most popular kid at his school. Robbie didn't care." Isaiah said. I could tell he was nervous.

"This Robbie kid, he can't get us! Dude, I'm doing ShayLoss. He's the one that doesn't stand a chance!" I said.

Then I heard Brock crying.

"Isaiah, I gotta go. See ya tomorrow?" I asked.

"Sure! Bye dude!" Isaiah said and hang up.

I walked over and saw Avia standing near Brock.

"I told you not to chase me!" She yelled. Lilly was helping him up.

"Avia! How do you think moms going to react when she hears about this." I said. She looked up to me.

"Beckett! Don't tell mom!" She said.

"Then why would you push him?" I said.

"He wouldn't leave me alone!" Avia whined.

"Fine. I won't tell. But you better not do it again!" I said.

"Thank you Beckett! I'm sorry Brock!" Avia said giving Brock a hug.

When we got home, mom was home with Gavin.

"Hey! I'm Lilly." Lilly smiled.

"Hi Lilly. I'm Gavin." Gavin smiled.

"Hi Gavin." Lilly said.

"Hey Lilly! Are you going to stay for supper?" Dad asked, walking into the room.

"Uh, I think my mom wants me to come home. Thanks for the offer though!" Lilly said.

"Ok! I can't drive you home if you want!" dad said.

"Sure!" Lilly said, she grabbed her coat.

"I'll come too!" I said.
