Chapter 19- I Love You

We got to Lilly's house.

I walked up to her door.

She opened it before I could knock.

We went up to her room.

"Beckett, I want you to know, I loved being your girlfriend." Lilly said.

"Don't break up with me." I said.

"Beckett." Lilly said, trying to calm me down, I couldn't catch my breath.

"Don't do it. I can't move knowing I have nothing to come back to." I said.

"Beckett, listen to me." Lilly said.

"Do not." I said, breathing heavily.

"I'm not." She said.

"I love you Lillian." I said, a tear rolling down my cheek.

"Beckett, don't do this to me." She says.

"I won't do that. But I'll do this." I said, taking her hand, and pulling her up.

I grab her waist. We step together. I twirl her around on the carpet. We kiss. Its so magical.

"I love you." I say.

"Don't leave. I don't ever want to leave this moment." She says.

"We can't stop time." I said. "I'll always be there. Just not here."

"Beckett." She said.

"Ya?"

"Dating you was the best 4 months I've ever had." She said. "I guess this is goodbye."

"Not goodbye. Not even farewell or see you later. Its I'll come back." I smile.

"Beckett. I love you." She says.

"Lily. I love you." I said.

I can't bear to leave her. She's my girlfriend. I don't know.

It's on the ride home I realize that tomorrow I'm saying goodbye to my lifelong best friend.

I don't know if I can say bye to bye without crying.
