Chapter 20- Bye LA

I haul my suitcase out the door with my backpack over my shoulder.

My suitcase goes in the uHaul. Cecily, Kassem, Brett and even Sam are here.

Mom is crying, which just makes Cecily cry, and that's makes the girls cry. Then Isaiah is here.

"Hey man." He says, his voice is somewhat shaky.

"Hey." I said.

"So, you're leaving." He said.

"Yup." I say.

"Promise you'll come visit?" He says.

"I'll be back. Don't worry." I laughed.

"Beckett, time to go." Mom called.

"Bye Beckett." Isaiah said.

"Bye Isaiah. Don't get too crazy ok." I said.

"I wont." He laughed.

"Take care of Lilly." I said.

We had a moment. Ok, ya, we hugged. Its what friends do ok.

And then we gone. Driving down the highway away from La.

After like 3 movies, I fell asleep.

I woke up and it was dark. We left this morning, so I was asleep for a while.

Dad has pulled into a hotel.

He got out and walked inside. 5 Minutes later he came back out. Everyone except Emmi was asleep. She was in the very back with a light on her face so I assumed she was on the iPad.

"Beckett, Emmi, climb out, help me get Brock and Daxton up." He whispered.

I helped Emmi jump out and walked around to Daxtons Seat.

Mom and Dad were sitting in the front. Then Daxton and Brock, next Gavin and I, the Avia and Emmi. Out van is huge.

I unbuckled Dax and put him still sleeping on my hip, and his head was leading on my neck.

Brock got out, and so did Gavin and Avia. Emmi woke mom up and we headed up to the room.

There was 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. Avia and I got one bed, after we finally picked. Gavin and Emmi slept on the couch and Brock and Dax fit in with mom and dad.

When we woke up, Emmi wasn't in the room. Great. Just great.
