WAR AND PEACE
( CHAPTER ONE )
1988
A week before the rainy days in Derry started, Jennifer Crosley had a normal day at school with her friends. She entered class before the bell rang and went to her seat waiting for her friend, who happened to appear before the class' door could close completely.
"Mrs. Maddock, madame..."
"Good morning, mr. Tozier" the teacher said with a blank and satisfied expression "Glad you could join us, go to your seat. I'll be right back, excuse me"
"My pleasure" the boy nodded and walked to the seat next to Jen's, who smirked as he got closer. The teacher left the room and everyone started talking again.
"Look what I got..." she raised a brow at him. He pulled out a package of cigarrettes and she hitted his head.
"You idiot" she snickered "You got me what I asked for?"
"Damn right I do" Richie pulled a cassette out of his backpack, she tried to grab it but he snatched it, that happened three times. "How are you paying me? Hm..?"
"I'll do, uh, your homework for a week" Jennifer tried
The boy with glasses shaked his head no "I was thinking bout something else" he made a kissy face.
"Oh, thats definitely not going to happen" the blonde girl grabbed the cassette "Did you seriously write 'Birdboy' on it? God, Richie I told you this shit was serious"
"Don't freak out, ok? He'll probably take it as a compliment or something, Jesus"

Then the bell rang and they got out of last period.
"Remember the plan, Crosley? Or do we have to go over it again?"
"Yeah yeah, whatever, make fun of me, I don't care, but I'll be the first one of us to date someone" she sticked her tongue out.
"Who are you going out with, Jenny?" A soft voice asked. The two friends turned around to find Eddie, their other friends Stan and Bill arrived at the bike racks a minute later.
"Uh, n-no one" she paused. But clearly, she was looking at Stan, who looked at a bird. Her gaze moved back to Eddie "and don't call me Jenny"
"Ooooooh" sang Eddie with a smirk on his face.
"Cuh-cut i-i-it out, Eh-Eds"
They giggled before Richie said "Yunno, I made this thing up, actually I didn't. I heard some kids on the train racks chanting it"
"What is it?"
"Well, uh, somebody needs to say 'shut up' first"

And after minutes, that seemed hours, ended, Jennifer arrived to her house and said the whole plan out loud again as she paced back and forth on the living room.
Then she went outside, then back inside.
