WAR AND PEACE
( CHAPTER SEVEN )
Jennifer and Richie were walking back to Richie's place eating ice creams, once there they sat on the grass and started talking.
"So, uh, how's Stan?"
"I don't know, how's Eddie?" Richie choked. "I'm joking"
"Oh, well"
"And Stan? He's fine I guess, we hung out the other day"
"Well I went for a smoke on my roof yesterday"
"Radical" they giggled.
Ring! Ring!
They looked at each other and stood up before walking inside. Richie's parents never were home, just like Jen's as said before, and if they were, they didn't care about him.
The boy picked up after licking his ice cream "Hello?"
"Ruh-ruh-Richie?"
"Who else would it be? Hey Big Bill!" He said excited. He covered the phone with one hand "Its Bill"
"Yeah no shit, Richie"
The boy rolled his eyes and uncovered the phone "Whats poppin'?"
"I-Its Beh-Beverly she nee-needs ah-ah-our he-help, weh-el mee-meet at dee-diner"
"You said it!" Richie hung up and stayed quiet.
Jen raised her eyebrows "So? What happened? Is he ok?"
"Oh right yes, we need to meet them at the dinner"
"Why?"
"Something about Bev, c'mon lets go"
The kids got out and got on their bikes before riding to the dinner where Eddie, Stan, Bill and Ben were waiting.
The whole ride was full of jokes and theories of what could have happened to Bev, mostly coming from Richie.
When they got there Beverly ran down the fire escape stairs "You guys needs to see this... my dad will kill me if he founds out I had people over" she said and climbed back up the stairs with the other following.
"What if her father comes back?" Asked Richie.
"Do what you always do: start talking!" Stan spat.
Jennifer glanced back down to Richie from where she stood on the stairs "Y-you guys go, I will stay with Richie and try distract if your dad comes back" she looked up at Bev "Is that ok?"
She shruggered "Suit yourself I guess"
Stan frowned as she walked back down. He knew they were best friends but, he was a little confuse right now.
"C'mon Stan" Eddie said going to a side and walking past him.
"Rah-right, sorry"
