WAR AND PEACE

( CHAPTER SEVENTEEN )

"Y-you duh-die if you tr-try"

Bill rode as fast as he could to the Crosley's house meanwhile Jennifer called Eddie and told him just what Bill said to her over the phone.

"You gotta call Ben and tell him to call Mike, we'll meet up at the house" she hung up.

Fast knocks echoed through the house. She opened the door to find the boy ready to go look for Richie.

"A-are y-you ta-taking some-thing?"

"I have knifes?"

He shaked his head no "I-it duh-doesn't ma-matter anymo-re. C-c'mon we guh-gotta get Ruh-Richie and St-Stan" he said as they walked out the house to their bikes.

They rode to the movies, were Richie would be according to Jennifer. And he was. In front of the Dragon's Lair cabinet. They rushed to his side

"Suck it! Sucksuck suck it!" Richie mumbled.

"Richie!" She said catching his attention.

"O-oh, hey Soph, oooh" his furrowed his eyebrows "so you're with him now?"

"Th-this is n-not the t-t-time" Bill said walking closer.

"Look, ok Jennifer, I get it, you don't li-"

"Richie!" she yelled, everyone in the place turned to look at her for a moment "I-it got Beverl-y"

Richie slid his glasses up his nose and turned to them as the character died in the game "Oh"

Then they went to the Uris' house were Stan's mother answered the door.

"Kids, what are you all doing here?"

"We uh..."

"We found something to do! It's really cool and Stan would totally love it! We were wondering if he could, come?" Jennifer asked feeling drops of sweat on the back of her neck.

Mrs. Uris stared at them before grinning softly, "I guess he should, he just goes out to watch for birds, this'll be good for him"

"Thank you, mrs. Uris" the three of them say at the same time. The woman goes to look for her son as his friends wait on the porch. Once Stan is there he raises a brow after closing the door and saying goodbye to his mom.

"Whats going on?"

"It got Beverly, c'mon Stanley, the others are waiting for us" Richie said as they walked to their bikes and hopped on them.

A "Jennifer-" escapes Stan's mouth.

"This is not the time, Stan, sorry, we could talk later" she says before catching up with Bill. He did the same with Richie.

On the way the found the others, and once there, they dropped their bikes and walked the small steps to get to the door of the Neilbolt st. house.

"W-wait, shouldn't someone stay out... to watch?" Stan asked.

"I-its nuh-not the t-t-time,  i-if we s-separate it w-would kee-kill uh-us one by o-ne" Bill said grabbing a spear.

"Yeah, don't chicken out when we are about to get in-"  the voice was cut off by Richie breaking a glass bottle.

"I-I'm not chicken, dipshit!" He yelled not knowing it was Jennifer the one that spoke til he made eye contact with her.

"Come on guys, you can talk your shit later" Richie crossed his arms over his chest.

They walked inside and down the stairs to the basement. "I have a bad feeling about this" Stan said.

"Shut up, Luke" she said. Stan looked at her, hopefull when instead he catched a little smile on her face before they tied a rope and went down the well.
