On this day
Was my first time
My first time
Talking to someone
Like I'd never talked to someone before
One year ago
On this day
Was my first time
My first time
Experiencing something new
Something inexplicable
On this day
One year ago today
Was my first time
My first time
Shaking as I held a screen
Crying while typing out
Short sentences
Short
Quick
Sentences
On this day
Was my first time
My first time
Saying no
Please don't go
Begging them to stay
One year ago
On this day
Was my first time
My first time
Listening as they told me
I can't
It's hard
I'm breaking
Goodbye
Do you hear me
I'm fucking breaking
Help me
On this day
Was my first time
My first time
Having my life completely changed
Having a whole new way of thinking
On this day
One year ago today
Was my first time
My first time
Telling someone no
Please don't commit suicide

A/N: Ok, so this one kind of has a more serious tone to it. But, one year ago today was my first time having to talk a good friend of mine out of suicide. It was hard. Probably one of the hardest, craziest things I've experienced. They're still alive, for anyone wondering. They moved to a different state and I haven't really heard from them since, but they seem to be doing okay now. (We follow each other on social media. That's how I know. I'm not some weirdo.)

For anyone dealing with anything at all, please get help. Talk to someone you trust. Whether it's a friend, a parent, a teacher, a cousin, whoever. If you need to get rid of some pent up stress or anger or any other emotion rip up some paper, punch a pillow, write, paint, listen to music, cry, scream. Anything that makes you feel better, except hurting yourself. Reach out to someone. Don't keep it all pent up. It helps to talk to someone.
