Depression,
Is like a friend.
An abusive, manipulative,
Yet caring and comforting
Friend
Depression
For me
Feels like home
It wraps it's arms around me
And shelters me
Warning me about
Everything on the outside
Depression
Whispers to me
Telling me everything will be okay
If I lay in bed all day
It molds itself into a pillow
Comfortable
Making it easy to sink in
Making me weak
Making me give in
To the numbness
And sleep
I do everything I can to resist
But no matter what
Depression is already one step ahead
It pulls me down
Farther and farther
Until I finally give in
And sleep
