Chapter 24: Zenn Vibes

This Chapter is told by the POV of Devin

It takes a short 5 minutes for us to get to the place where we are meeting up with Brody's buddy. We pull up and hop out of our cars. Brody and Isabella rode in Jessica's car with Jack driving. He doesn't have the key but he copied my powers and used them to drive the car.

"Ok guys" Brody says getting to the door "He is a little bit skittish so be quiet" He slowly opens the door and pokes his head in "Hey Zenn? You in here buddy?" I walk in after him and feel sort of strange. I feel weak. I look down at my arms and see the faint glow of electricity flowing through them dim away then vanish altogether. My arms falls to my side and I am no longer able to move them at all. Milton raises his hand and creates a small flame that immediately flickers out

"Who are these people?" a small boy about a year older than Brody asks

"This is my older brother Devin. And these are his friends" Brody replies. "They're cool"

"What the hell happened to my arms?" I ask swinging my body around causing my arms to flop around loosely

"You sure they're cool?" Zenn asks Brody eying me up and down

"Yes Zenn, they're fine" Brody says a little annoyed

"Ok, fine, sorry. I just like being careful" Zenn says and closes his eyes then opens them and they turned from their brown color to a light blue green. I start to feel a lot stronger and I raise my arms and stretch my fingers out

"Wait, so your like a light switch for powers?!" Levi blurts out and Zenn smiles a bit

"Yeah pretty much. But before all the friendly talk, what's going on with you guys coming here? Anything you need?" Zenn says and Brody pulls a chair up and sits down

"Our sister, Olivia, is missing. And now that the school has been taken out, I am free to look around for her. Thought I would ask you, cuz you're the only one who managed to get out back in the day" Brody explains hoping Zenn would know something

"The school...? Taken out..? How?!" Zenn yells getting a bit jittery

"Me and my friends. There are more than just us, we split up just a little while ago, the girls all went to talk to some all women fortress, while a few of the other men went to one of Drehk's places to find something that could help us beat him" I explain and Zenn opens his mouth wide

"So you guys took out Volt and the elite gang?" Zenn says looking at me like I'm his hero. I nod my head with a smile "Good. They're assholes. But yeah, I think I know where Olivia is. Dark brown hair, short, bubbly and nice to everyone?"

"Yeah, that's her!!" I yell out

"You aren't going to believe this. Lets go meet up with the girls" he says and walks to the door. We all follow him and he opens the door to Jessica's crappy 4-door and is greeted by a loud roar and a blur of orange and black as Isabella jumps out at him then just stares at him and he stares back. I raise my arm to blast her if she tries to attack, then she just licks his face and makes a little noise that I assume is the tiger equivalent of a meow. Zenn reaches up and pets Isabella behind the ear and eventually she gets bored and hops back in the car. Zenn hops in with her and closes the door

"Alright guys, Ill lead the way" Milton says opening the back door to his sports car "Get in little dude, you can ride in here this time" Brody runs over and hops in. I get on my bike and Levi gets in Milton's car. We drive off back the way we came for a minute then turn down another road and keep going. After about 15 minutes of my zipping around trying to keep lookout for Steven's SUV that the girls took. Jack drives past me with Zenn sticking his head out the window

"We stop here!!" He says. We all stop and get out and he gathers around us "Ok, so the leader and her people trust me. They will trust you too, but I need to take you in as my prisoners as a sign of good faith. Put these on" He says tossing us sacks to put on our heads. I just look at him and frown then follow his instructions. He ties our hands with rope and I get a really bad feeling about this "Everybody stay quiet no matter what you hear. If you piss off the leader she will kill you"

"Zenn, I'm warning you. If you try to screw us over and someone gets hurt. It's your head that'll roll the fastest" I say as he puts bags over our heads

"Trust me. Ass" he says and we're off. After a while I hear noises and then am stopped where I am "Let me in, I have prisoners for your leader! protocol: bonds!" He yells and the gate begins to open. Upon entering I smell a strong sweet smell like flowers even through this smelly bag

"Halt!!" A loud feminine voice shouts towards us "Who are they?!" She asks and I feel Zenn's hands on my shoulders pushing me down softly so I will get on my knees

"Prisoners for protocol: bonds" he says and I hear all noise quiet down to nothing

"Remove their restraints!" A younger sounding girl yells from the other direction. My hands are freed and I pull the bag off of my head and am met with intense light. I look around for the voice I heard, and meet eyes with the group's leader

"No. Fucking. Way" Brody says next to me

"Not too bad for a 'little brat' huh guys?" Olivia says smiling like the little brat' she is
