Chapter 19: Losing Touch

This Chapter is told by the POV of Devin

Antonio just walks past me and sits down on a large piece of debris. I walk up to him and sit next to him. Most of our friends are still unconscious from the destruction of the building from Antonio and Forest's fight

"You doing ok?" I say trying to be careful

"Ok? My girlfriend was just murdered in front of my eyes!" He says standing up yelling in my face

"Woah, hey! Calm down!" I say standing up and putting my hand on his shoulder

"Calm down?! Really?! I don't think you understand what the hell I just went through bitch!" he yells getting spit on my face. I wipe my face and frown trying not to lose my cool

"I know exactly what you just went through. Before the lab exploded, when Beth got shot in the head. I thought she was gone. I thought she had been murdered right in front of me" I say as calm and slow as I can

"Well you know what Devin? You got your girl back. I won't. Ever. Maybe if Beth wouldn't have came back, you wouldn't be such an immeasurable ass right now! Man, I wish she had actually died back then, you fucking prick!" He shouts and pushes me

"Antonio what the fuck?!" Steven yells and runs over to us. I step forward and sock Antonio right in the face. He staggers a bit then regains his balance "Devin, stop!" Stevin yells and steps between me and Antonio

"Steven. Get out of the fucking way. It's about time this shit happened" I say and step up to Steven and push him aside

"Yeah, you're right. Devin has had this coming for quite some time" Antonio says and covers his arms in rock

"You really think you can beat me? Forest was an asshole, and he was nothing compared to me. Just back the hell up and you can save yourself a lot of humiliation and broken bones" I say and stretch out my robotic arms. He grins and swings at me as hard as he can. I easily duck under his arm and gut punch him. He grabs my arm as I pull it back and throws me over his head and onto the ground

"Devin. You are the worst person I have ever met. You are a terrible leader, a terrible boyfriend, and an even worse friend. It should have been you that died. Not Kelly" He says and shoves both of his hands into the ground. He lifts up and brings a giant chunk of rock with him "And actually. You are going to join her. Finally getting what you deserve" He raises the rock up high above me and drops it trying to kill me. I punch it as it gets within arms reach shattering it everywhere. ROOAARRR!!! An orange and black blur slams into Antonio toppling him over. I sit up and see that it is a tiger growling and snapping its teeth right in Antonio's face

"Isabella, stop it!" Jessica screams running after the tiger and pulling it off of Antonio. The tiger purrs and curls up at Jessica's feet and everybody including Antonio just stare at her as she pets it

"Excuse me assholes!! That's not yours!" A voice yells as red lightning shoots up into the air. I look over and see Volt leaning on the fence of the field holding his side where he is bleeding "May I have my tiger back please?!"

"She isn't yours! She belongs with me! And her name is Isabella!" Jessica shouts at him and hugs the tiger by the neck

"Shut the fuck up girl! Fucking shit I hate you!" Volt yells and shoots lightning at her. Isabella tackles her down out of the way then growls at Volt

"Stop! You have gone far enough!" Shert shouts from behind me. It seems like everybody is just appearing out of nowhere

"Shert, what the fuck are you doing?" Volt stammers out "I took you in and saved you from Him when he wanted to recruit you. I made it so you didn't have to kill. I made your life easy"

"No. I got to watch you kill instead. That's not who you are man" Shert says trying to reason with him

"You don't know me. I changed a long time ago. Thanks to him!!" he yells and points at me

"Me?!" I yell "What did I ever do to you?! You are the one that forced us into this by kidnapping our friends and killing Kelly!!"

"You ruined my life!! You made me who I am!! None of this would have happened if it wasn't for you!!!" Volt screams getting out of hand

"Andy!! You need to stop!!" Shert yells back at him. I stop and look at Volt

"Wait... Andy...?" Beth stammers out "You... You're Andy...?!" Volt takes off his mask revealing a burnt up face that isn't even recognizable anymore

"Yes. It's me. After Devin shocked me like he did it triggered my powers.. But left me looking like this. I woke up in the hospital after everything had already gone to shit. I went looking around and I was found by Him. He helped me use my powers better and told me that I had to do whatever it took to get revenge on you. And I plan to as soon as I get better" Andy says shaking his head and glaring at me

"You really think you are getting out of here alive?" Jessica asks "After everything you have done, you really think we won't finish you off right here and now?"

"No. Nobody is going to touch him. We are leaving" Antonio says walking to Andy's side "And next time we meet, Devin. I will kill you. Be prepared" Andy shoots a huge bolt of red lightning into the air then collapses to the ground. Black smoke begins to fall from the sky between Andy and us that forms a person. He is holding a scythe and wears a black hooded robe that is covered in golden designs

"I am Drehk. I am sure you have heard of me. Probably referred to as Him. I exist only to see this world end. I am death itself. Stay out of my way, and you might just get to live until the end" A low, unhuman like voice echos in my head. I look around and see that the others awake can hear it too. I look back at the evil shadow man and look into his eyes. They are pitch black from corner to corner. He waves his hand slowly through the air and a high pitched ringing floods my ears before I black out
