Taking What's Mine

I know, I know. I haven't updated but I seriously am so busy with a bunch of stuff right now, but you's don't need to hear it so lets get this show on the roadddd!!

RECAP:

When we made eye contact, it was as if a small burst of electricity shocked me and I gasped at the un-deniable feeling of warmth. My body seemed to have a mind of it's own. I took one step towards him and thats when I saw his eyes turn a shade darker.

Oh no.

Katerina's POV

I heard him give a deep, low growl in the bottom of his throat before he lunged at me, pulling me against him. 

I felt the spark of the mating bond as my skin touched his. The feeling of having him touch every part of my body had my nerve endings on the fritz. I gasped at the warmth and the electricity that seemed to be sparking around us. He tightened his arms around my body, grasping at it as if he would never hold me again. My breathing became unstable once again as he buried he head in the crook of my neck. 

"Mine" he growled, as he fingers slowly spread out against the small of my back. I held my breath as my hands ached to touch him, to wrap around him. His nose ran up the length of my neck as he continued to growl out 'mine' over and over again. My hand twitched and I slowly brought my hands up, tracing up his arms. I felt him shutter each time my fingers touched him. He pulled me closer to him, if that was even possible as my hands moved higher. I gasped as the warmth, the sparks and the electricity feeling increased as we touched. I sighed in content as I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him just a little bit closer. His scent was overpowering my senses. He stiffened.

Suddenly he was gone, and I felt Ruby whimper at the loss of contact. I looked up as he was 10 feet away from me. He was clutching a locker beside him, looking as if he was having a fight with himself.

"You...have...to leave!" He all but groaned out, as if he was in pain. I looked at him in shock and bewilderment. 

"Go!" He growled. I furrowed my eyebrows and confusion and....hurt. I tried to look him in the eye but he wouldn't look at me. I gulped and took one hesitant step towards him. He snapped his head towards mine.

What am I doing? I said to myself. I don't want a mate, remember. I took a step backwards and another and another. Ruby was whimpering inside of me with each step I took away from our mate. I looked at him in pain and clutched my hand to my chest as it was beating out of control. He seemed to be at war with himself, I could see it in his eyes. I could see past his growling and narrowed eyes. I took another step back and I saw him twitch as if he were going to jump at me. I tensed my jaw as pain rushed through me again as I took three more steps away from him.

"I...I" I stuttered out. His jaw clenched as he seemed to literally be fighting tooth and nail with himself. With one final look at him, I turned and ran, feeling my heart break with every step.
