Hyunwoo had gone on unpaid leave for a whole month. It's about time I got back to work. He hadn't visited his mother, and he had no idea what happened to Sihyeon after that night.

I really hope they're all doing fine.

On the other hand, he had managed to get Kihyun to open up a little more, and the latter began to talk about his life a bit more than he used to. It wasn't much, but it was a major breakthrough to Hyunwoo.

As he packed whatever little belongings he had, he noticed Kihyun standing at the bottom of the stairs. "Missing me already?" Hyunwoo teased and enjoyed the sight of Kihyun storming off in annoyance.

He's so adorable. Hyunwoo zipped his bag up and pulled on his socks. "I'm really leaving now!" He called out. Silence ensued.

Hyunwoo shrugged and was on his way out when Kihyun yelled back at him.

"Have you heard of something called patience? Give me a minute!"

Hyunwoo sat down on a stool by the main door, drumming his fingers on his thighs. He wondered how he'd explain to his colleagues on his sudden unexplained disappearance. Would they believe me if I said I went on vacation?

Kihyun interrupted his chain of thought when he cleared his throat. He wore a maroon silk shirt with black pants. "I'll accompany you to work. If you don't mind, that is."

Hyunwoo smiled. "Why not?" He put an arm around Kihyun, who flinched, but remained silent. As they walked out of Kihyun's house for the first time in a month, Hyunwoo couldn't help but feel a shot of ecstasy rush through him.

This has indeed been an interesting month. He shot a sidelong glance at Kihyun, who had a lollipop in his mouth. Where and when did he get that lollipop from? Kihyun pulled the lollipop out of his mouth and shoved it under Hyunwoo's nose.

"Want some?"

"Did you literally just take that out of your mouth?"

"Well, duh."

"That's disgusting, no thanks."

"Suit yourself."

Kihyun stuck the lollipop back into his mouth. They walked to Kihyun's Ferrari, which was parked at the back of the house. It still amazes me how he owns a Ferrari. I wonder how rich he actually is. Hyunwoo thought as he climbed into the sports car.

As Kihyun drove Hyunwoo to his home, Hyunwoo felt reluctance grow within him. Something, deep down in him, didn't want to part with Kihyun so soon.

It's like I've grown fond of him. Hyunwoo gazed out of the car window, watching the scenery zip past in a colourful blur. I don't want to part ways so soon.

This might even be the last time I get to see him. He guessed that Kihyun probably had to deal with his gang matters once he sent him on his way. He'd probably cut all ties with me.

He felt his heart sank.
