Chapter 19

"From now on, White Rose is officially disbanded. I know I might not have been the best leader or friend throughout this few years but either way, thank you all for following me and trusting in me.

Yesterday, I was careless and I exposed myself to a civilian, resulting in great danger for us. As such, it is a must for White Rose to disband or we will be in deeper trouble. You are all still young. You deserve another chance at life before your life gets ruined because of my mistake."

Kihyun announced. The group of men who he had called over stared back at him in shock. Minkyun cleared his throat and stepped forward.

"Pardon me, but are you sure you want to do that?" Minkyun pursed his lips together, as he watched the expression on Kihyun's face change slowly.

When Kihyun remained silent, Minkyun continued. "I mean, it's not fair for us, right? We've given up so much of our lives to be by your side and now you're dismissing us because you've run into a bit of trouble?"

Another of Kihyun's subordinates, Kwangji, took a step forward as well. "I agree with Minkyun. You've always been there when we got into trouble, and we're not about to ditch you now."

One by one, his men started protesting against his decision, catching him by surprise. I never thought they'd be against my decision to break the gang up.

Kihyun was at a loss for words."It's for the greater good... do you understand?" He stuttered. Minkyun folded his arms across his chest. "No. The greater good only comes when we stick together. Besides, you haven't even told the others yet. They'll freak if they know the news."

Minkyun has a point there. Kihyun bit his lower lip. "So what do you guys propose we do now?" He sat down and poured himself a glass of wine. 5 pairs of eyes blinked back at him.

"I mean, Hyunwoo is dead, and his mother is after me. There's not much we can do now."

The men gathered around Kihyun, watching as he slowly curled up into a tight ball. He hugged his knees to his chest tightly and pressed his face against his knees. I never thought I'd miss someone so badly. He wanted to cry, but he couldn't bring himself to.

He looked up at the confused faces staring right at him. "I'll reconsider, but there will be no guarantees that I'll change my mind." With that, he dismissed them all and continued sinking into the void that was loneliness.
