I'm sure I was still blabbering nonsense as the light turned green.

What the hell was that, did we almost just get jacked! Car jacked! Bike jacked! Robbed! Beaten down!

All these thoughts flooded my mind at the same time. Where am I? Who am I with? What just happened? I was confused, scared and turned on all at once. I've never been through anything like that before. This stuff does not happen where I'm from, where are the cops around here? So many questions....

"Do you always carry a gun Marcus"?

"Yes".

"Why, I mean I see why. Does this happen here often, where are we"?

"It happens everywhere, just not in nice little beach towns".

"Oh".

He was right of course, I just never thought it would happen to me, I felt overcome with empowerment straddling this man and his beautiful machine. I squeezed him once to let him know that I appreciated his quick actions.

"Thanks Marcus, you were very brave".

"Aw shucks darlin, it was nuthin".

Cute, modesty too, this man was a catch so far as I could tell. I wanted, no needed to please him. My thoughts were interrupted as the bike picked up speed and we leaned into a slight right hand corner.

A large pack of shiny loud bikes came out of the foothills ahead.  The large chrome machines raced right at us in the opposite lane. Instinctively Marcus waved his left hand. A split second later not one, but all left hands waved in return coming our way, even the women passengers!

The sight of those big male hands and dainty waves from the women sent a shiver up my spine. How cool am I right now!

"I can wave to babe, I mean the girls do too"?

"Hell yeah!! Respect for all baby"!

I was thrilled to be part of a pack!

My smile was ear to ear inside my private safety helmet.  Which by the way, felt like a glove for my head. Larger green and brown bushes began to dot the hills as we traveled upward. Grand houses peppered the mountain sides. Our pace began to slow as we gained on a red SUV ahead.

Marcus took his left hand off the bike and set it on my knee. He leaned his back into my chest and relaxed. I felt him slump and heard a deep sigh.

"Are you ok Marcus"?

"Yeah, I am now".

It felt nice to have him closer to me and feel comfort from my body. I felt the same for him.

Just then I heard a high pitch whine of street bikes getting louder from behind us. A large motor revved loudly, it startled me just a bit.

I shook in my seat.

"They scared you huh"?

"How many are there Marcus"?

"Can't tell just yet, plenty. It's a nice day for a ride gorgeous"!

The compliment felt so good inside I smiled again. The sounds of the fast bikes grew louder and I looked back to see over a dozen shiny racing machines swerving back and forth behind us.

"What are they doing"?

"Heating their tires".

Holy shit this was exhilarating!

I remember squeezing Marcus tighter. If I only knew then, what I know now.

All of a sudden Marcus slammed his left leg down twice!  The Harley motor grunted like a tank, a wicked scream came out of it's tail pipes. The sudden rush of power sent me back in my seat!
