10. I hope this day'll never come

The next morning Ashley wakes up and grabs a slice of toast that her mom prepared for her. "Already ?" Mrs. Taylor ask Ashley because it's still early in the morning. "Yes please." Ashley said and tie up her shoes. "Why?" Mrs. Taylor ask. "I want to finish some work at the school." She said not clear because she was biting her toast and tie her hair. "Okay as you asked. Let's go." Mrs. Taylor start drive off from her compound and head to the school. Scott notice that Ashley was going early in the morning and he quickly go to his bathroom to take a morning bath. After he finished he wear his clothes and trousers. As soon as he walk to the door he fall down at the bathroom because it's quite slippery and sprained his ankle. "Ouchhhhhh!!!" He yell. His mother quickly run to his room to check her son. "What the heck? Why are you getting ready so early?" She ask him and pull Scott and guide him to walk because Scott sprained his leg and felt so painful. "Let's go to the clinic." Mrs. Davis support him to go down the stairs. "Just send me to the school." He said. "Don't be too dumb. You've sprained your ankle let's just go to the clinic first and see if you can go to the school or not. If you can then I'll send you to the school right away." She said as she put down her son on the chair at the dining chair. "Okay deal." He shakes his hand with her mother. "You're so childish." Mrs. Davis grin and hand him a bowl of cereal. "Thanks mom." He said and eat. After he finished his breakfast he stand up and bring the bowl to the sink to wash. "Sit down dummy. Let me do it for you." She said and take the bowl from Scott. "Wow, if I know it'd be like this, I'd act like I'm sick everyday." He said and laugh. "Hey don't you dare." Mrs. Davis grin. She then take a stick that belongs to Scott's brother when he broke his leg previous years ago and give it to Scott. "Use this for now." They walk to the car and arrived at the clinic.

"Scott Davis!" A nurse call him. He walks in the doctor's room with his mother. After a quick check the doctor said that he need to rest and stop playing sports for two months. Scott just agreed because he scared if his mother scold him.
"Send me to school." He said to his mom. "As you wished sir." Her mom drive him to the school. He then walk into the school with a pair of stick at his armpits.

Ashley saw Scott and quickly walk to Scott. "Are you okay?" She ask Scott. "This was all because of you, you know?" He said and rolled his eyes. "Why is it my fault?" She ask. "I was sprained my leg when I was chasing you this morning." He said "I didn't see anyone behind me when I'm heading to school this morning in fact, I went to school early today." Ashley said. "I know!" He raise his voice and left Ashley. Ashley was puzzled and just go to her place back.

"What's up bro." Hayden approached Scott with laughter. "Shut up." He said and put his stick aside as long as he stood on the chair. He put his face on his hand and sigh. "What's going on between you and Ashley huh?" Hayden elbows Scott. "Nothing. You know that I hate her right?" Scott rolled his eyes. Hayden nods and stare at Veronica. "I hope that I'm you." He said and exhale a long breathe. "You want to sprain your leg too. Oh you don't have to be me I can just break you ankle now." He said turning his body to Hayden and making an evil smile. "No! What the heck dude. You know what I meant right." He said. "Sorry I'm just kidding. But I hope that Veronica never liked me because I don't know why I don't have any feelings towards her though." Scott said and look at Ashley. Ashley was talking to her friends and laughing around while Veronica is talking to Chloe and look at Ashley. "But why? Veronica is the most perfect girl in this entire world." Hayden said to Scott. Scott shakes his head. "Of course she is but not with her attitude." Scott said. "Please be grateful can you?" Hayden said. "Urgh just take her if you want. And ask me any tips that can makes Veronica falls for you." He said. "Really ! Are you being serious? Oh my gosh." Hayden was so excited and shakes Scott's body. "Ouch my ankle!" He said. "Oops sorry."

"There's no letter today?" Ashley ask herself as she open her locker and there's no letter for her. It's not that Scott forgot to put his letter in Ashley's locker it's just he plans to put it after school since his ankle was in pain. When Ashley was searching for the letter between the books because she was not satisfied that there's no letter today Jack was walking towards her. "Hey..." Jack greet her shyly. "Hi." Ashley reply. "Um here." Jack hands her an envelope and a cute little box. "But Why?" Ashley ask. "Just take it." Jack left her.

Carol was watching them from afar. "What a liar." She felt really disappointed of Ashley. She bite her lower lips. She then went back home with a bit hatred feeling towards Ashley.

After he saw Ashley left her locker he put his letter into Ashley's. he just ignore the letter that Ashley gave him because it's just a mad confession. Then Scott walks out the school and there he bumped into Carol. Carol looks really angry and plan to tell Scott who's his secret admire.
"Hey you." Carol call Scott.
"Me? Yes" Scott walk slowly with both of his stick towards Carol.
"Do you know who's your secret admire?" Carol ask.
"Nope. But it says that she was Ashley's best friend so is it you?" He lying on purpose because he'll gets embarrassed if he answer it correctly because Carol know the letter from him to his secret admire so it'll be obvious that he likes Ashley.
"Nope it's not me. It was Ashley herself." She said and laugh.
"Wow I'm shocked." Scott says and gasp trying to make himself look shock enough.
"You don't look really shock." Carol said.
"Yes I am." He said and smile. Then his mom's arrived. He waves at Carol and get into his mom's car.

"Why did you tell him." Ashley run towards Carol. She was watching them from afar after she takes another letter from her locker. It's weird that she got two different letters at her locker.

"Get lost" Carol raise her voice to Ashley and left her.

Veronica claps her hand and laugh with Chloe. "Look who's dumped by her crush and now her best friend." Veronica said and laugh hard.

Mrs. Taylor then come. Ashley gets into her mom's car. "How's your day?" She ask. "I hope today's never come." Ashley replied. "I'm sorry." Mrs. Taylor apologized to Ashley. "No it's okay it's not even your fault." Ashley smile.
